Steelers Had Shazier In For A Pre-Draft Visit

This is my pick right here! We need a DB badly, but no way Dennard or Gilbert is around. This is what I see happening.... Players always fall, and somebody will need to move up a spot or two. We will trade down a few spots and snag an extra pick. Draft Shazier to play ILB ( think how this LB corp would look) and then move up in the early 2 Nd to snag the best DB at that time. Shazier is a beast. Putting him in the middle ( sorry Vince William fans) would give us our Farrior replacement for years to come.

 

Timmons replacement in a year or two? Timmons is another guy that makes a ton of money. has he really set the league on fire for that kind of money? he's good don't get me wrong but, he took 3 years to get on the field fully, he's going into his 8th season now, they haven't extended him as of yet and they really didn't want to either, he failed when he had to go to OLB in a pinch, he still gets caught out of position in his 7th season, there are stretches that he's invisible, I believe he has struggled to be the guy that makes the calls for the defense and did I mention he costs a lot of money. now shazier is not perfect, and has some of these traits too, but also has a lot to work with and so does mosely and van noy. just some food for thought on who one of these guys may replace and why?

 

Mosley seems to be slipping on sme boards already. Not sure why, but the names you mentioned would all be ok in my book

 

mosley has had some injury troubles in college. i'll tell you a guy I like and he's running way under the radar at ILB is blair from cinci. that kid can play some LB. against the pass and run. if you get a chance take a look at him. constantly around the ball. lavey from ok st. is another good one that gets no love. quite, lunch pail guys that are just really good players. they'll play for somebody and make them better.
