Pierre Desir is definitely in play. Other than seeing a tall productive corner on various draft sites I didn't know much about him. He first opened my eyes at the East-West Shrine game and then followed that up with a very good Senior Bowl week. He also performed fairly admirably at the Combine. I think things quieted down on him because he only ran a 4.59.

To me, Desir is still a 3rd round pick. Of course he is a project. Lindenwood isn't known as a football factory and he definitely played against weak competition.

Still, at 6'1 200lbs with 33" arms who had 25 career INTs he looks like a great prospect. He w ill take some time as he needs to benefit from NFL level coaching.

I'm not a fan of Rodgers at tight end. He is slightly undersized (6'4 245), slow (4.87 forty) and unproductive (900 yards and 2 TDs in 2 years as a starter). If you are looking for a mid round TE, I would say look at Crockett Gilmroe, Joe Don Duncan or AC Leonard.

I wouldn't shut the door on Howard Jones. Sure, he may be undersized and from a small school but he was extraordinarily productive. He had 70 TFL and 25 sacks in 4 years. He screams 3-4 OLB and just the type of player we have succeeded in finding. He was a star at the Combine for his position, add that to his impressive college totals and you could have a star. I've seen him listed as a late round option. Personally, I think he is a 3rd or 4th rounder.

Belue didn't make much of an impact at Alabama but then again it was a stacked roster. Still, I'd prefer to take a gamble on guys with more upside (Lawson, Cockrell, Gaines (x2) and Mitchell).

I'm not big on Burton. If you want that undersized type of H-back, I like Jacob Pedersen from Wisconsin.

I could live with Boston in the 7th.

They could do better waiting until the 4th to take a CB from a small school no way.

Yeah, no way we wait till round 4 to take a CB (especially one that is a project like Desir). I'd bet a decent about of cash that we take a CB in either round 1 or 2.
