I think we just lost Blount

I think Ray Rice is going to be Bubba's wife for a few years. Heard on NFL live he could get 3 to 5 years. Thinking the rats will throw a bunch of money at Blount

 

Does Blount even have a visit scheduled with the Ravens? Also Rice has money and unfortunately wealthy high profile athletes generally have the ability to avoid jail sentences unlike the rest of us. Obviously there are exceptions to the rule ie Burress, but he committed a gun crime in a city with some of the strictest gun laws in the country(mandatory sentencing).

 

I doubt he does any time for one reason or another. Also with the way this offseason has been going for the rats do you think they want to jump right back in with a guy with a previous history. I'm not saying it's not behind Blount ,but still....

Yeah but I think sucker punching a girl is a lot worse than shooting yourself. You may be right though. I can see the girl doing what she can to keep him out of jail

 

At what point in the legal process did the NFL step in and punish Ben? Since Ben was never charged and was still punished by the NFL, at what point will the NFL punish their beloved Raisins? I would like to see the NFL treat all teams the same. (Then again, I will always believe that the Rooneys were more involved in Ben being punished than the NFL.)

 

Plax may not have done jail time if he didn't shoot himself in NY also

 

Obviously punching a woman is worse than shooting yourself. However, Burress didn't go to jail because he shot himself. He went to jail for having an unregistered firearm in a city that has a mandatory sentence for having unregistered firearms.

 

how about shooting a women and punching yourself? whats the jail time in NY for that? probably less, I'd think. you would probably get more jail time for a big gulp.

I'm not getting all the reserve judgment comments on this. Didn't they crucify Ben and is the League running "It's never O.K. to hit a woman!" commercials all over the place? If you're putting your "shield" out there with this as one of your hot topic initiatives, you'd better well step up and show you mean it!


His lawyer is amazing as well. IIRC didn't Rice admit to hitting her to police? So, if he hit her by his own admission, how the hell can you say he didn't commit battery?
