    I live in Winston Salem and the people around here are flipping out. I'm trying to remember anything like this happening when I live in Pittsburgh but nothing to this extent.

    I still think we need more depth at WR. Wheaton could barely get on the field last season...and now he's being counted on to start opposite Tone? Good God...

    Wheaton had 2 veterans ahead of him on the depth chart and he had the finger injuries. Wheaton will be better than Sanders give the guy a chance.

    Let's be frank about it. This team has holes. Lot's of holes. We're going to be depending on a number of guys to improve in 2014 and achieve things that they've never achieved in their pro careers to date. I've been pretty supportive of our front office and coaches in the past, but without going into details (YET), I will just say this: they have parted ways with a number of players and made remarks like "they're platers from an 8-8 team." Well, our front office and coaches are also part of 2 straight 8-8 teams, and they own it.

    I am not optimistic about this season. I can envision a situation where everything comes together and we go 10-6 or 11-5, win the division and a home playoff game before exiting. However, I can also see another season where we earn a pick in the middle of round 1. And... if Ben suffers a major injury early in the season, the basement is the limit.

    I have not heard about or read anything from any Steelers official remotely close to this.

    Just about every NFL team with a franchise type QB is in the same boat.
