I like both of them. Gaines in the 5th would be an awesome pick, I think he'll go higher but would be a steal there. I'm high on CJ too, I think he is going to be a very productive TE, both with his blocking and catching. Moncreif would be a good pick up, Love Jace in the other one. Lynch would be another great value pick up in the 6th. Wouldn't even mind Schofield ;)

    Good stuff, Mac.

I would only take Roby if we were able to trade down. I'm not sure he is a 1st round talent though. I side more with Draft Scout (#35) opposed to Draft Countdown (#15).

I would be highly disappointed with Roby at 15. I see him as a 25-35 pick, with a small possibility that he fall to us in the 2nd. Choosing him at 15 would let need far outpace value.

Don't love the first one, but number 2 has a lot of promise. I hope they don't overdraft a CB in round one, though. Also, I would look at adding a DE. Veteran FA RB + UDFA(s) would make more sense to me with the roster's present state.

i've seen every game the last two years and i'd definately put roby right up with the top corners especially since i think gilbert and dennard will be gone, not that it would make a difference. i think he's right on par with them and fuller. he makes plays. they like their buckeyes around here. DL happened to play corner there too remember. he's got all the tools we need. carnell could fine tune them, which wouldn't take much. the speed is there. the tackling is there. the coverage is there too. i'd have no problem if they pulled the trigger on him. make no mistake he's one of the top corners in this draft.

#2 is way better in my opinion, but I hate the Amaro pick. Not a fan of Seastrunk either. Love the Moncrief pick, Gaines and Schofield are solid picks too.

Moncrief might not make it out of the second (let alone to the compensatory 3rd), so swap him to a second round pick and take Fiedorowicz at 3. Maybe switch Seastrunk out with Freeman or Sims from WVU. Sounds good :smiley1:

I can get behind that, 58. Keep coming up with Ebron probably being BPA at 15.

I agree with those saying Roby is not a 1.15 value. If they want to pull the trigger on him - assuming no other BPA is tripping their trigger there - they need to trade down. That said, I don't take it as a given Dennard will be gone by 1.15. He may very well still be there - hard to tell how everyone will break come draft day, but most have him available as of now. If so (or especially if Gilbert falls), I think they probably make the pick.

I'm also not big on Ebron at #15. I know he's getting a lot of press right now with comparisons to Vernon Davis, but I'm just not seeing it. Don't get me wrong, he looks to become a good TE, just not the elite status I felt last year about Eiftert. But that's just me. To wit, there are an increasing amount of mocks now pushing him ahead of the Steelers, the Giants at 1.12 becoming a familiar landing spot. A few even have him cracking top ten.

The funny thing about the way this draft is lining up is that you hit a pocket of players after 1.10 that become hard to discern from each other talent-wise through much of the next twenty picks. Unless one of the more distinguished picks happens to fall, this is a year to really explore falling back a bit and picking up the extra slot. Especially since they no longer have their early third.

I think I like Roby a little better than Fuller also.

love the second one if you change first pick. unless we trade back 10 to 12 spots. no way can we take him at 15 if gilbert or dennard are still on board. I think if they are gone that means one of the wr's or tackles have fell. that could be interesting

If they are going CB and Gilbert is there, they have to take him.

those first 5 CB's are so close in talent it's not funny. any of them at 15 would be a major upgrade to the steelers secondary.
