Why do you think that? If Lewan is available, I feel he would be given a lot of consideration. Albeit, I'm hoping for a CB with our first pick.

    I wasn't being serious. :smiley1:

I'm sure Lewan was at the top of their radar. If his character flags check out, and by some unlikely chance he's still there at #15, he's probably the pick.

Nice. May come down to Michigan vs Michigan State for our first pick, Lewan vs Dennard. Both would be fine selections, but Lewan has been my dude for a long time now.

don't want lewan. to many other needs. I don't think he is a sure fire lt in the nfl. I wasn't impressed with what I seen of him

I am asking seriously because a buddy is a osu fan and he says roby is better than both. I am sure you have probably answered this in another thread and I missed it but do you think he is?

Great combine, bad tape... I watched a lot of Michigan football this year (rooting hard against them lol) and specifically watched Lewan as he was seen as one of the top LT's. IMO he didn't look like a first round draft pick for the most part, and looked downright bad in a few games as well.

As far as your Roby question goes, he is pretty good. Had a great 2012 campaign (was an all-american), but had an up and down 2013 thanks to a couple rough games. He has a really high ceiling though, because he has good football sense and elite speed. Not afraid to tackle either. Could be a very nice fit in our system.

i think he's a legit 1st round guy to consider for us. he's very good at alot of things we covet. with lake teaching him some refinement, i think he's as good as dennard, gilbert and fuller. my top 4 corners. then i go jaylon watkins and i love gaines in the middle rounds.

I'd just like to see them grab a guy who's played that side, instead of speculating that they can change a guy better suited for RT into a good LT. Then, sitting back and watching Ben get killed for the first few games, before trying to figure out who can play the position better, because you didn't plan on anything going wrong with your first scenario.

my concern with him is size and coming off of shoulder surgery now. this is my concern with guys like cj mosely too. i'd rather see healthier guys. fuller with the sports hernia is somewhat of a concern too. verrett just had the surgery though. i don't think roby's was anything major. watkins and gaines definately have some game and speed too.

i think they are definately looking at these tackles. lewan, robinson, matthews and from there who knows. they have been at all their pro days. i still like turner too. schofield, has a good pass set, albeit from the right side. i wouldn't rule out tiny or moses either.

i don't think we have a clear cut position preference in mind at 15, just who may be there. i believe all options are open at several positions of need. if munch felt like we were set at tackle, i'm not so sure we would be even looking at those players.

Schofield represented himself well at the Senior Bowl and again at the Combine. Would be a good pickup in the middle rounds.

I think he fits the mold of a what the Steelers want in a cornerback. Speed, ball awareness, fluidity, lack of size... he doesn't play like he's 5', 9.5", though.

He did the bench 19 times with a torn labrum. He had the surgery yesterday, and it should keep him out of pre-camp activities. I'm not saying he's worth the #15 pick, because he's not, but I'd be OK with him in the 2nd, or if he falls farther than that, great. Give me him and Desir and drinks are on me.

I agree 100%. Aside from a few positions, there's not clear cut one at #15. In the end, most people will probably be surprised with who they end up taking.

He did. It was more a nod to the Steelers penchant for looking at serviceable right tackles and thinking they'll be studs at LT.
