Part about not coming back is probably true but it would make sense.

Seems like I rememeber reading somewhere that James had talked about retiring after this year. Anyone else remember that?

Harrison is still a Bengal so this is probably all for not.
If he did become available it would be a good fit. No sense in signing a young FA LB, by the time he learns the defense his contract will be up.

Sometimes the best way to look at a situation like this is......"he's better than what we got". We have nothing behind JJ and Worilds...

He's probably kicking himself right now seeing all his old teammates staying here. Heath, Ike, and Troy all bought into the "Steelers way" and get to retire in the black and gold. Also throw in he got less money as well. I wonder if those three looked at how that turned out or if they really were 100 percent loyal. I would say loyal.

Cheap insurance. If I was the front office I'd be on the phone right now. You know how much he respects Lebeau. He'd probably jump for an opportunity to come back to Pittsburgh.

From what I'm reading, they haven't officially released him yet.

I would like to see him back. He is not unlike alot of the
pros in the NFL or any sport for that matter. James played hard for the Steelers and he had value. He walked because
the money was not to his liking.

I would take him back in a second. He did not work out in Cinnci because of the type of defense they play and the many years playing in the Burgh .

You can take the man of out of the Burgh but you can never take the Burgh out of the man.

I say we reach out to him if Cinci lets him go. Don't think our front office will but would love to see him back in Black & Gold

It DOES make sense. That is without a doubt. No depth right now, he has been here and knows what we want to do systematically.. Make it happen FO!!

Bring him back! With him and Joey in the same locker room, that much attitude and the waterboy will be tackling people!

Bring him back for sure if you can even at a little bit of a cap hit 1-2 yrs max. Not sure but I don't remember hearing much on the injury front with him last year. Sub packages, rotational LB whatever he's way better than anything you can find right now and afford. There is nothing scary about the D right now and even if he lacks a little speed he used to have the offense still has to know where he is every snap and account for him. It's not like he has been on the couch for a whole yr and he is a workout warrior you can count on him being in shape and not coming to camp 50lbs over weight (56). He knows what do do and is reliable for the most part, if I was the FO I'd try to the the ink drying as you all read this.

It really is a no brainer. First off he's " better than what we got" for depth and we still don't have anyone who has proven they can play from the right side.
