Well here goes nothing and lots can change after the combine. I am also planning/hoping for a 3rd ,4th and 7th for our comp picks. I've never done this before ,so be nice:

    1-C.J. Mosley ILB

no one really knows if Spence can make it all the way back. I do like V.Williams and would be interested to see if he could play any OLB(couldn't be any worse then Carter) for us he has a stocky type build that may work. I'd like to think that all of our LBs have the versatility to line up at various positions. We tried Timmons out there and he did ok. We need to do more things to keep teams guessing. Position flexibility not just on the OL. Story for another day...

    2- Calvin Pryor S

i feel like in baseball you start with strength up the middle. Pryor will be Clark's replacement. He will bring some of the fierce hitting Clark used to provide but being much better at creating TOs. He and Mosley provide years of dependable service...

    3- C.J. Fiedorowicz TE

It's a late comp so almost a 4th.They say we will draft a "tall WR" well here he is tall and wide. I think he is alot more athletic then what he gets credit for. He provides instant redzone help and even plays specials. He is a real TE ,now we can get rid of all the wannabes. Plus we can save a little money on the uniform.

    4- E.J Gaines CB

honestly I've never seen him play but judging from his highlights and his scouting report he seems to be versatile in both defending the run and pass. He is just tall enough and has good weight that will help him in both areas. I'm not sure we need a "shutdown" corner with the way we ask our DBs to play. We do need a guy who can do both,I think he fits the bill.

    4 comp.- Robert Herron WR

i know he's not tall but he has all the more important things like good hands, speed and he gets open. His stocky build reminds me of Hines but with serious speed. He looks like a "football player" at the WR position. He caught Colberts eye already and the scouts said he couldn't be covered during Senior Bowl week. He is impossible to jam with his quickness and looks like he can play all the WR positions. Looks like a hard nose Steeler to me.

    5- Dri Archer DIA

it was a toss up between him and DAT. I was leaning towards DAT but his durability scared me. I like the fact he played at a higher level program but we've had good luck with Kent State guys and it seemed to me watching film that besides them being the same size Archer just seemed more elusive and less likely to take that damaging hit. Either way I would be happy ,we've been searching for that do it all game breaker for a while.

    6- Aaron Colvin CB

only his injury drops him this far. It's a high reward ,no risk pick. We've missed on plenty of DBs before.

    7- Shaq Barrett OLB

Joey Porters protege. Porter has his ear and has already made him better in a short time. Has the measurables, just needs to learn better technique. The teacher is in place,he just has to show up to class...

    7 comp.- Andrew Norwell OT

dont know anything about him other then a brief scouting report. He is from a major college powerhouse(OSU) so that should count for something. Mr. Munchak meet your new project.

I also think we have our "tall WRs" already on the team we just need one of those guys to take the next step(Moye,Brown).
Like I said lots could change and different comp picks would screw some guys placements up. Plus I'm not sure I could be any worse then Kiper. Have at it......:bowdown:

I like the players you selected, there isn't a guy on here that I wouldn't want on our team. I really like the later round picks you have... solid stuff rounds 4-7. I bet we go CB earlier than the 4th round, but I like Gaines well enough. If we sign a free agent FS, then I'd bet we go corner instead of Pryor in round 2. Pryor is a good pick in at 47 if he make it that far tho. Overall, nice work.

you think so? I heard his lack of speed will keep him from being a first rounder. I thought if we didn't go ha ha in 1st we might be able to get him in second

You can't compare the talent of Moye to the players that will be drafted in the first 2 rounds like Evans, Benjamin, Matthews. Moye is no guarantee to even make the team next season.

    I like your position selection,
we will need to find a place at RB though.

Good players overall but I'd be disappointed not getting a real weapon on Offense.

I thought about that but I figured we can bring back Dwyer and LaSH and Archer could provide us with a few carries out of the backfield. They also have A. Alexander on the practice squad for a while now ,so they must see something in him. Leveon is our "Bell" cow ,so there won't be much to go around.

I would also love a true offensive weapon ,but outside of Watkins where is he. There is talent at the WR position and TE but no one Is worth the 15th pick. Maybe with a trade back ,but then that changes everything. I really liked the direction the O was going late in the season and all we need is for one of our young WRs to step up. With a healthy Bell and Heath we should come out the gate fast. We need to get back to playing good defense with sacks and turnovers, that alone would be a bigger boost to our O than a new reciever. Think about how much better this O could be if we actually got good field position via 3and outs and TOs. We have way more holes to fill on D than on O ,that's why I went D heavy. I still gave us a couple of new toys with Herron, Archer and Fiedorowicz is a nice target. It's gonna be a very interesting draft.....

I think that Ebron and Evans are definitely worthy of the 15th pick.. Just my opinion though.
