Below is a list of possible Targets for our 1st rd pick- Players will move up and down and the combine will help sort them out. We aren't privy to the interviews and background checks but this should help when trying to formulate a full 7 rd mock. No QBs and RBs here.

    Justin Gilbert CB Ok. St.
    Darqueze Dennard CB Mich. St.
    Jason Verrett CB TCU
    CJ Mosley ILB ALA
    Ra-Shede Hageman 3-4DE Minn
    Louis Nix NT N.D.
    Ha-Ha Clinton Dix FS Ala.
    Eric Ebron TE UNC
    Kony Ealy 4/3DE-3/4 OLB Missouri
    Cyrus Kouomdjio LOT Ala.
    Mike Evans WR Texas A&M
    Marqise Lee WR USC

If we Trade Back here's a few Prospects That could be available if all the above are gone:
    Jace Amaro TE Texas Tech
    Austin Seferian-Jenkins TE Wash.
    Allen Robinson WR PSU
    Stephon Tuitt 3-4DE N.D.
Dee Ford OLB Auburn= Don't like him in the 1st at all.

Edit: Add Taylor Lewan OT if we trade back.

I left out top ten guys like Mack & Barr and Mathews & Robinson. I also feel only one ILB and One S fit a 1st rd grade here at # 15.

Comments welcomed and this is a open source type of list. Help me finalize a realistic 1st pick. If my rankings are off say so or if players have been omitted say so.

I probably would have included the two OTs in Taylor Lewan and Cyrus Kouandjio, as they are possible guys. I'm not leaning in their direction but its not a stretch to say they both would be on the Steelers radar.

I would also slide Verrett either to your Round 2 guys or at a minimum to the late 1st category. I'd probably also add David Yankey and Zack Martin to your late 1st round options should we trade back.

I'd be pretty confident in saying that our 1st round pick if we stay @ #15 will definitely come from your first tier of players though.

Missed Lewan-thanks. I have Verrett in my top 4 CB and with CB being a premium position he's in rd 1. A bit short so what you think about switching him and Roby? Martin is a solid rd 2 OG. Yankey is the only OG with a 1st rd grade but I left him off the list because I don't think OG is a target in this draft, unless its a BPA by a mile.

No way would I draft Jason Verett in the first round he's too small around 5'10 175 lbs, not interested in Cyrus Koundijo he's overrated and slow he can't handle speed rushers.

Not to start a riot, but is Dix really the best safety in this draft?

Don't get me wrong he is really good, very strong reliable tackler with long arms, Calvin Pryor and Terrence Brooks have some other qualities that make them seem even more impressive to me. Not a fan of the Stanford Safety.

Man I saw some Van Noy highlights....He looks amazing, but isn't he a little older though? His upside might be already maxed out. If that is not the case, then wow, I'm impressed....

He's fast and makes some highlight plays but lacks consistency down in, down out IMO..

me too i'm thorn if i have to tell you i prefer pryor but seems dix is more ready , brooks is smaller and have upside to be in the same category , the combine will be interesting. i'm not sure brooks will be available at our 3rd rd comp pick , for that i'm all for trading down in the first and have a third more

The more that I watch the players that are projected in the mid - late first, the more I like Gilbert. I think he fits our scheme well - although he will need a bit of work on his run support. His style of CB play reminds me of Asante Samuel in that he makes quick reads and disruptive plays when the play is in front of him (i.e. mainly in zone coverage and some off-man). Since that's what we do with our corners, I think he's a day 1 contributor if we draft him. I haven't watched Verrett at all yet, so no comment there.

I think it's premature to leave guys out. I would agree that Barr will almost certainly be gone, but I think most of us thought that about JJ at the time last year. I have only watched 1 Buffalo game this year and 1 last year, but based on those games I don't see Mack as a top 10 pick. In fact, I'm not sure I would even take him at #15. I'll hedge my bets on that because my impressions have been based on watching games (as a football fan), not "film" (as an evaluator). However, in those games he didn't knock my socks off when playing against mostly un-draftworthy competition.
