let me say that this is what I want to have. I know there is no way that I have a single pick right because I normally don't.

rd1 ha ha Clinton dix s Alabama
I think he will be a great safety in the nfl. no way he falls out of first round so I see no problem with taking him here. if he fills a need and plays ten+ years for us then it will be a great pick

    rd2 Christian jones lb fsu
not sure where he plays in the nfl. outside or inside? all I know is he makes plays. he seems to play fast and that's what we need

    rd3 lamarcus joyner cb fsu
I think he falls because of his size. he is not 5'8 like listed. he is small but makes plays and has a nose for the ball. I would love to see him play for us. he isn't afraid to hit despite his size.

rd4 marcel jenson te fresno st
I think this class is deep at tight end and not a lot of separation from top to middle of the pack. he has size and speed. not sure about blocking or character. I haven't heard anything bad about him but I didn't check. he is great after the catch. well at least against the teams they played

    rd5 devin street wr pitt
tall receiver and I figured we should know a lot about him

    rd5 jeoffrey pagan de bama
he has experience in a 3-4. he played nose and tackle and is very hard to move. not really a great pass rusher but his motor doesn't stop

    rd6 martavis Bryant wr Clemson
even taller receiver with speed. don't know if he falls this far but was overshadowed by Watkins but the few times I watched Clemson he looked as good

    rd7 ross cockrell cb duke
he has good ball skills and I think can make a great nickel corner and special teams player. I think he can return kicks too

After Dix, not really a fan of this mock. Where's your safety? We will need to draft one unless we pick one up before hand. I don't want a tiny CB either but I like that you selected 2 of them but I wouldn't wait until rd 7 to take the second one. Move that up and drop your LB selection, not as big a need IMO.

Curious as to why this is your final mock though? They haven't even addressed FA yet, won't fully know our priorities until then.

    I don't understand, BF. Clinton-Dix is a safety.

well dix is my safety. the reason its my final one is that I suck at predicting and this is more what I want. I don't think that will change. I agree with you that lber might not be a big need but I think jones is to good a playmaker to pass up. he has actually been compared to Timmons by some fsu fans.

I like Dix as the first pick, steel, but I'll be honest, if this were the Steelers actual draft I'd be like, "WHAT THE HECK WERE WE THINKING?!" ;)

I don't really like the LB in the second after we drafted a LB in the first last year. I also think we've got to re-sign Worilds and if we do that, LB is not a first or second round need. I also don't like the undersized corner in the third. The two receivers are tall but more developmental and we've got a couple of tall receivers in Moye and Brown that have just as much potential IMO. If we're going to grab a receiver lets grab an impact guy in the first couple of rounds. Just some thoughts FWTW. :smiley1:

if we sign dwyer and lsh , we don't need a rb or we can take one in the udfa

I see your point. I just want to sure up everything now. I feel if we get ha ha with Thomas we have the backend solid for years. I feel Christian can play outside and inside kinda like Timmons so he would sure up the lbers. no more guessing on who will play there. I think joyner could be like honey badger. I think he is one of those guys who in a zone which we play a lot can make plays. you have a point on the recievers but there is a good article on Bryant on espn steelers blog page. he has issues but he can fly

Clinton-Dix is a good player. Should be a really good FS. I just don't know what the Steelers have planned with Shark, as I think he is more of a SS, but it doesn't look like Clark is coming back. Strange situation indeed. So how far off is Shamarko? Is he waiting in the wings until Troy moves on?

I would love Clinton-Dix as our longterm FS, however, this draft is pretty deep at S and I think we can even get a starter in Round 3.

I'm with you on Christian Jones. An excellent player that is going slightly under the radar. I wouldn't hesitate to grab him in Round 2.
