I brought this up I another thread but to avoid hijacking I'm going to start a thread on it. This offense has most of the pieces in place and a stellar offensive coaching staff. I think know they should be a top ten offense with the no huddle and could be top 5. We need a wr that's for sure or a game changing TE like Ebron. If this offense struggles again I think Haley will be let go.

I think so, too. I really don't see it happening though because this offense, and his scheme, really came together the second half. We had a great stretch of scoring over 20 pts/game and that is a wonderful sign! If we can shore up our defense we'll be back in the thick of things. If we get our OL to consistently pass block without help, watch out!

If you look at how Arizona went in 08 they struggled at first and I believe some were saying haley was on the hot seat and then it was like a switch went off. The difference is they were in a weak division and we're able to slip into the playoffs. I'm actually fine with our oline as the no huddle hides a lot of the problems. Do the problems still exist sure but when you are dictating who the defense hason the field you can change a lilot of things. Think about this Brown, Wheaton or Cotch, Miller and Ebron with bell in the backfield. We could do basically everything from that package and the d wouldn't be able to switch out causing huge mismatches all over the place. I really hope Ebron is there and they take him as for that to work you gotta have a second TE that is athletic and can pretty much play wr.

Numbahs and I have been beating the Ebron drum, whether it's him or some other game changing offensive weapon, I think it would put them over the top. They are close but not quite there.

I think a lot of the problem in AZ was also the fact that Whiz couldn't settle on a qb and even tried a qb by committee approach. But once they settled on Warner they became a really awesome offense. That is until James Harrison showed up. LOL.

I hope next Super Bowl Ben throws a 99 yard td that way the steelers will have the longest run, play, and pass in Super Bowl history.

I have said this in other places, and I still feel this way. The Offense and Defense of this team were "middle of the road" performers. The easiest way to get back to winning is to MAJORLY change one of these 2 areas. Since we all know that it takes 2-3 years to see a major impact from a defensive player in this system, impacting the offense with game changers at the draft seems to be the way to go.

The Steelers should come right out of the gate with the no huddle/muddle huddle offense. Not take their foot of the gas until 2nd week of February 2015.
