I like Williams, I've always felt he'd succeed here, I expect him to get better and improve his pass covering, he's got the smarts and size and hits everything that moves. Going to be a good player for us.

I like him but I think Garvin has the higher ceiling of the two.

Based on what? A good special teams hit? Williams sample size is much bigger. All I know about Garvin is that the coaches like him, gave him some praise. I think Williams coming in, playing as well as he did for a rookie and calling the shots speaks volumes about him, I'll be shocked if he doesn't become entrenched as our buck.

based on he started out as and undrafted safety and was our nickel lber paired with Timmons down the stretch. He is taller then Williams and a lot more athletic. Also what the coaches have said about him. Lebeau said don't worry he won't be known for just that block for very long telling me he has plans for him.

Well he's taller anyway. I hope you're right about him, but I think Williams upside is higher. Maybe they will both go on to shine, I'd take that

Oh yeah I hope they do as well. Even if Williams plays running downs and Garvin passing downs. I would take the two of them at 900k combined compared to Foote at 1.5 million.

Williams seems to have something you can't coach and, unfortunately, too many players seem to be lacking in these days...heart and desire. In all reality, his rookie season was much more productive than our highly touted linebacker drafted in the first round.

I would rather have Williams start than a old washed up Foote.

I think it's telling that Kiesel told him that they liked him.

I want to see that wall of linebackers at the Practice Facility... :)
