Do you think the fact that Mike Wallace signed a mega contract last off season and then proceeded to go out and not earn it might cause teams to be a little more reluctant to throw crazy money at the next member of the Young Money (Hungry) Crew getting ready to hit the market?

No, not really. I think Emmanuel Sanders hurt Emmanuel Sanders' stock last year, though.

What do you think the odds are that he'll find the free agent market less lucrative than he thought and re-signs with the Steelers?

I think he will get some offers, especially from NE but not the high money offers he could have had he lit it up this year. Teams are always looking for slot receivers.

Unlikely. Too many teams out there who need WR's.

I think if he lands with another team he will get less than Nate Washington got from TN.

Good riddance to him too many crucial drops. He won't get half the money Wallace got he's not a #1 receiver but some team like Jacksonville will overpay for him.

He never had the pedigree Wallace had, Sanders needed to have a monster year to get a monster contract. Seriously doubt anyone overpays for him.

Not very good. I think he'll get offered more than what the Steelers will want to "afford" to pay him. Stranger things have happened, though.

Exactly what I was planning on writing when I read the title. Nothing more really needs to be said.

Jax has Blackmon and Shorts. They're not going to overpay for a mediocre WR

IMO, Sanders is gone not because he is going to be getting a monster contract, not because he is going to get overpaid, but simply because he will get overpaid what WE are willing to pay him.

This, may I add that Manny is better than Mike Wallace, watch closely my friends how he
and AB get in and out of their routes, how they attack the ball.

I agree but will add this. I read his drop % was actually better than AB's ( trying to find that ) but his were crucial ( TD,2-pt ). His durability has been an issue as well. He doesn't possess the top end speed Wallace did either.

Also hurting him is a draft loaded with WRs ( 18 underclassmen) and a UFA class also full with some big names. He won't get Wallace money or even AB's money but he will be signed, he's a good slot shifty slot WR with better than assumed hands.

If Sanders gets more than 1/2 of what AB got, some GM was drunk.

Just as long as it is not our own GM I am fine with them drinking on the job... :)

There's also the question of whether Sanders would be happy with a slot receiver role, and not a number 1 or 2.
