People have the Browns taking him, I think they'd regret that big time, does anyone else look at this kid and see a football player? I don't think his game will transition to the pros at all. I don't get all the hype

I don't think he'll be a bust, personally. He's got some improving to do to be successful in the NFL- no doubt. The biggest question for me is if he can make the big throws necessary of a NFL starting QB. It's hard to say based on the style of his play.

He is definitely a work in progress in the passing game BF, but the kid has a lot to his game that you can't teach. I'm not saying he is going to be a pro bowl QB, but I think he will surprise a lot of people at the NFL level. He is a winner, and sees himself as one as well... Those kind of guys tend to over-achieve.

Certainly not a 1st round pick in my opinion, but some desperate team will take him in the 1st ala Tim Tebow. That being said, I do think Manziel will be better than Tebow. I think whether Manziel can keep his head on straight will dictate whether he sticks around for a while or whether he flushes out of the league in 3-5 years.

I think a lot will depend on how quick he gets weapons around him. That's always been the catch22 of being that #1 guy high in the draft..... being on a suck azz team with no weapons.

If I'm a team looking for a QB, I'm taking Blake Bortles, another Big Ben in the making. I wouldn't touch Manziel.

I saw a headline saying that qb for Florida State is bound for NFL greatness. Is that true?

I didn't see it but I think he will be, to me, thats a QB that can succeed in the NFL, accurate, BIG, has ability to escape the rush and can run when he needs too. If the timing were better, I'd want us to take him.

Yeah I was sorta thinking of him as a Ben type qb. He has some major off the field issues too. I think Manziel is more of just an immature frat boy type right?

I don't think he will be a bust but I wouldn't draft him in the top ten though.

Bortles? Manziel has had some off field troubles but I haven't heard that about Bortles.

Had to back track and see where you lost me, you're talking about Winston, yeah, he was under investigation for rape I believe but no charges were filed. As far as his game goes, he has tremendous upside.

Although he has lots to learn football wise,
I too feel that his off field antics will be his demise. Also don't forget that EVERYBODY
in the NFL can play. He will last 3 to 5 years
until some LB/safety takes his head off.
    He will sell tickets.

Manziel needs to go to a situation where he will be allowed to be Johnny Manziel, and not an idealized, stay in the pocket type of QB. If he goes somewhere where the coaching staff recognizes what makes him great, and let's him do his thing, he will be a legit NFL QB. If they try to tame him, he may struggle quite a bit. Personally, I don't see a shred of Tebow in Manziel. I see a cross between Fran Tarkenton and Brett Favre.

BFT, if I'm not mistaken, he is required to play one more season before a team shows him the money. If he learns from this season and keeps his head bolted on straight, I say play 2 more years; then there may be an opening on a certain roster. ;)

He's not as fast as Vick, nor does he have Vick's arm strength. But that is a much better comparison than others being floated around like Brees, Wilson, and Favre.
