IMO There's no way that the FO doesn't give Ben a weapon in the 1st round. I like your prospects, just think that they will go in a different direction. Especially in the 1st.

About 25 points a game. We need defense.

The Steelers were 17th in scoring offense with 23.7 per game.

The Steelers were 14th in scoring defense with 23.1 per game.

No matter which direction this team goes it must impact one of these or the other drastically and make sure you can maintain the other in order to see a drastic change in our W/L record.

IMO, if we want to make that change quickly, it is easier to do so on the offensive side of the ball. The teams current best player is your QB....give him the tools to make plays and make a change. Add 3 points per game, that is 48 points overall, and this team jumps to the #8th scoring offense this year. Give me a stud WR and a TE in the first 2 rounds...take your pick on order....and this team scores 60 more points next year IMO.

Exactly. I think we pretty much know the players who are going to start next year on defense with a few ??? still, but it will probably still come from the following pool.

DLine: Hood, Heyward, Keisel, Woods, McLendon - some combination of those 5 will probably start

LB: Jones, Woodley, Worilds, Foote, Timmons, Williams, FA - it is probably Woodley OR Worilds and Foote or Williams with maybe a FA signing in the mix somewhere, but I expect that to potentially be like Fox...lower level.

    CB: Allen, Gay, Ike

S: Shamarko or W. Allen, Troy

That is probably what we are looking at. We just need to get used to that because unless they draft a freak, he isn't starting on D.

I am a "tarheel" by location only. I live in Charlotte, NC, but am a PSU football fan as I grew up in Philly and had relatives who lived in Altoona and toward State College.

I don't root for them in BBall either, other than the fact that my wife is NC born and bred, so she requires me to root for them against Duke. :)

YES !!! whats interesting you said ranked 17 in O scoring and 14 in D scoring and yet everyone blames the D for our 8-8 season... but you look at a 17 and 14 ranks and that is very average or a 8-8 record

I am intrigued too by Verrett, I like
TCU ball players. Seem to have big motors.
I will have to do more studying. I am
still in the minority and feel we have to
shore up the secondary and ILB,OLB
    positions.
