Omar Kahn

    Reportedly he is again being considered for a position outside the Steelers, this time as a Miami GM candidate.

    Any thoughts?

    Don't know him personally, but he seems awfully young to be considered for a GM position. Then again, I thought Tomlin was young for a HC.

    He's probably more qualified than a lot of current GM's out there tbh.

    It's a possibility I suppose, but as of this moment, it's just speculation, as the Dolphins haven't said they wanted to interview him.

    Exactly. The media is always looking for a good story and I think we all know they're not beyond creating stories themselves to get attention/ratings.

    Although I don't think Khan would be a bad GM if it happens.

    Kahn is more then just a cap guy, he is heavily involved with GM duties here. And apparently very very smart, he'd probably make a good GM. If they ever jettison Colbert, I'd like Kahn to be our GM.

    I would tend to agree too, but it always seems we are in these salary cap squeezes, and I can't help but wonder how much of an asset he really is? Is Kahn the reason we are in the salary cap squeeze or the reason we work our way out of the squeeze? Hard for an outsider to say how much of that is the players and agents vs direction of the team vs Kahn.

    I could see Khan leaving to join a team as a VP of Operations before he leaves for a GM job.

    agents respect him.I am not sure
    how good he is at evaluating talent?
    I would like to learn more about this.
