Where do you get wrong era, from the mid 90s to the mid 2000s was the wrong era, if a QB throws more picks than touchdowns in his career, he shouldn't be an NFL QB to start with, and Chan Gailey dumbed down the playbook for him to where he basicly became a run first QB.........

Tee Martin and Dennis Dixon didn't work out so well either.

Wrong era as in pre read option. Kordell was a tremendous athlete, if guys like Kap are excelling at it, so could of Kordell. And as I keep pointing out, he had what, 3 OC's in his time here? You don't think that has any effect on a QB? You don't think trying to force a guy to be a pocket QB when he is a mobile QB had any effect on his game? These are the reasons he didn't succeed, lets not act like he was Tebow with his accuracy.

This isn't hard to understand. He didn't have a QB coach and he went through OC's like water. You can say dumbed down playbook all you want, fact is he never had a position coach working with him to develop him. He did play back before all these off-season gurus popped up. The guy was an absolute beast of an athlete.

Kordell was ahead of his time. The offense wasn't designed to exploit his talents.

It is, I would say his performance wasn't to bad
for missing 7 straight weeks. Clearly the best QB in the league when healthy.

Kordell couldn't hit a broadside of a barn
that is how inaccurate he was.

A lot of fans don't know this, but after the rats cut Stewart in 05, he waited until 2012 before he officially announced his retirement as a Steeler: What was his motivation for waiting 7 years before he retired, surely he wasn't expecting a phone call from another team after 2 or 3 years went by, did he increase his retirement pension with longevity, maybe thats possible, this is really the strangest waiting period i've ever seen for a player to officially retire....Any thoughts on this?

Just one of those athletes that has trouble letting go. He made a comeback attempt in 2008, was put into free agency but no team called. He was still hopeful after that, guess he finally gave up the dream in 12'

Kenny Guiton would be better than Landry,Dennis,Tee, and Kordell,IMO.

I liked Landry in the preseason last year. I believe he has a lot of potential to be solid back up to Ben next season. I just don't want any of our QB's to start running on design. Scrambling beyond the LOS is fine. Wild cat keepers - No thanks. Rather put in a FB and block for Bell.

That and I don't care for many players from OSU. I find they are usually overrated which is probably attributed to their seemingly endless soft schedules.

After having such a great season like that, i don't know why they pulled the plug so quickly the following year.
