Sure the LT looked bad, but the other 2 bama played I looked at, Haha Dix and CJ Mosley both looked nothing special. Dix sure can hit hard but that Bama secondary was out of position so much of the night. Mosley made a few plays, but nothing special.

really disagree with this. mosley was able to diagnose plays and made some great plays. dix came up and made a ton of plays on the quick screens. the main problem with last night is they didn't want to be there. they are a spoiled group. as bad as it sounds if they have nothing to play for they don't. plain and simple. look over the season in games that matter and you will have a different opinion I think

You're right it's just human nature to have a bit of a letdown. These guys have been used to competing for the national title. I don't think their intensity was dialed up. No excuse, just reality. If a title was on the line I don't think Oklahoma wins the game.

The very brief time (10 snaps) I saw Mosley play this season I was not impressed either. I need to take more time and watch some tape on him to see what the fuss is all about with him.

I'm not sold on him, but mostly because I don't like Ala ILBs. There have been some "can't miss" type ILBs out of there since Saban has been there who have in fact....missed.

He's a 2nd round talent that won't be there in the 2nd IMO.

I was never interested in him the first round anyway. I don't think they will draft ILB at #15 they can find one later in the draft.

I know people don't want to hear this but no big ten backers for me. not enough speed. they are probably good until they play outside conference. not trying to start an argument just stating fact. look at game last night. ohio st has the best athletes in big ten and got exposed on defense. urban will always have speed on offense. he cant stand not to but he will never get a sec type defense at ohio st. its not what is need to win in that conference. I am not saying that good backers wont come out of the big ten its just they don't have the speed WE need. and please before I get blasted just remember a big qb out ran all of ohio st dbs on the longest run of the season for him. not trying to pick on them and say they suck, its just a fact

    SEC homer..
To suggest that a BCS conference can't turn out good LBers for the pro game is, well, ridiculous..

Yeah, I mean who would want a Navarro Bowman or Sean Lee. How about Tamba Hali? Okay, maybe it is just PSU. The reality is, you can find LBs in any conference, but they must be judged for what they do and not what school they are at. You can't argue that they came from a big school and therefore can play. Look at their performances and see how it goes.

I'm grateful that I don't give a rats patootie about conferences, or even schools too much for that matter. Talent is talent.

that's true. I guess I wasn't meaning that one never comes from there cause that's not true. we just cant find em. humpal and Gibson come to mind. Woodley has been a major disappointment since his payday. I am not a foote basher but a lot of people here are.

I disagree with you the SEC conference has had a lot of busts in the NFL, these players from Alabama Courtney Upshaw, Donta Hightower, and Rolando McClain all came from the best team and haven't done anything in the NFL.

Upshaw is not a rookie I believe this was his second season.
