I hope he loses his team a playoff game in Indy next week with a similar choke job - and THEN loses his job.

Man, still depressed...the AFC could be had this year. Dalton stinks, Den has no D and Pats no Gronk. We could have made a run....dang.

Nah, I mean I think we have bigger problems than their problems. Denver will make it to the Super Bowl and probably lose.

Yes, it's tough to feel good right now. I'm not mad at Reid, you never know for sure what happens if he mixes in some starters, who knows maybe they play worse? SD had no way to plan for the backups, nothing on film, and that probably helped made the game turn out the way it did. This one comes right down to Ryan Succop.

You know what though? In 1995 Yancy Thigpen dropped an easy TD pass in a regular season game finale that meant nothing to the Steelers- yet gave the Packers a division title over the Lions. Think their fans weren't pissed too?

A good rule of thumb- never be depressed on a day the Steelers win, no matter what happens any day we get a W is a good day.

Damn...looked up Succops stats to see how much he succs and noticed he's from Pittsburgh, PA. Frkn traitor...wonder if he grew up a Steeler fan and how he feels about blowing it.

I'm sure he feels terrible about blowing it, but only because he lost the game for his team, not because he's from Pittsburgh and maybe grew up a Steeler fan.

i hope we will be in the same situation but reverse , the chiefs need a steelers win while we are already in or out , and we kick the fg of the win backwards :rockin:

Remember when Yancy dropped a sure, easy TD to let the Packers get a playoff berth?

    Where's the karma, man? :D

According to Perreira SD was in an illegal formation on the missed FG, and the fake punt should have resulted in a TD for KC

The title of this thread seriously cracks me up. It gives me mental images of Goodell pulling the strings like a puppet and laughing maniacally. LOL.

I got home from church and my wife said "the chiefs lost" and I got this sinking feeling but then I saw how CLOSE that fg was and I just cringed and tried not to ram my hand through the cpu screen. Man it's sickening but could we have beaten the Pats or Broncs anyway? I know it's good to have a "chance" but I'm just not sure we could've beaten them but it's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all and I would have loved to be there in the playoffs just to try and make a run.

It's not so much the circumstances that kept the Steelers from getting in, as much as the circumstances that allowed San Diego to do so. The more I mulled it over, the more it ticked me off. The Chargers got in because they lucked into a scenario not of their own doing.

Pray tell, what bed did San Diego make?
