Colbert and company have a lot of decisions to make this off season and I am not sure what I would do or even want them to do. I want troy back but he has to be willing to take a cut. I would let clark go and probably sanders too. I would like to know more about wheaton but sanders is gonna want paid. the hard one for me is keisel. I hate to see him go not just because I like him but he can still play at a pretty high level. then there is hood. he shows flashes of play like he gets it and then he can disappear. al woods looked good last night and has played good so maybe nt will be locked up for a few years. Williams has been playing very well I think and has started playing a lot better in coverage. what about ike? I would keep him but he is not a number one corner and I think the system last night of not switching him and allen worked well. can we rework his deal again? the big one though is worilds. i almost believe i would rather have him than Woodley. wood has injury history and makes a ton more. question i have for the salary cap gurus is, if we cut Woodley and sign worilds does it balance out? i mean Woodley would still count against the cap but how much? can we keep both? carter is a bust, and there isn't any depth there. maybe if worilds isn't greedy we keep both. i would love to see Jarvis, lamar, and Jason on the field at the same time healthy in the nickel next year. with troy being troy and Timmons being Timmons. move lamar down on the line and turn them loose. i think the decisions they make this year are some of the most important they have had to make in awhile. i mean hines was tough from and emotional point but he was done. some of these guys can play and will for someone else if we let them go but cant keep all of them i know.

i think these are gone so what do you think? clark, keisel, hood, redman, foote, sanders, and cotchery.

i want velsaco back and worilds back even if that means Woodley has to go. maybe we trade him before the draft. another question i have is levi brown. is he gonna be back?

I can't play Colbert. Then I'd have to fire myself......:hmmm:

Seriously, he/they need to find some top-notch scouting personnel to replace the guy who is now in Houston.
    If not, goodbye.

Cotch at the right price; Levi Brown may depend on what progress they see with the OL between here and June 1.
Wood should be auditioning for the Pro Bowl in these last 2 games. He is now expendable.

sorry I meant if we keep Woodley which I bet we do. what about pouncey? would you extend him or wait and see if he plays a full season? I would keep velasco and move pouncey to fosters spot

Keisel still has some left in the tank. The guy was playing really well until he got injured. Troy is playing the best hes played in years. These 2 I would keep.

Clark, Woodley, Ike, would be gone.

I would extend Ben and get some depth on the OL. I would want velsaco back and would even consider trading Pouncey for the right trade. Im actually pretty happy with the OL we have at the moment.

Sanders would be gone, Cotchery would be on my keep list. I like Wheaton and would get him some playing time and get him up to speed.

Worilds is looking better and better, I would re-sign and send Woodley packing.

I think we are ok with receivers, I would want a big physical TE along with Heath.

Dont know if I would have the power but Haley would be gone too.

He may not be the problem now but I think he was part of the problem. He is predictable on his play calling and I think sucks at what he calls. It appears he has finally given in and is letting Ben be Ben. Or maybe I extend him 1 more year, I m kinda on the fence about him really.

If I was the GM Lebeau would be gone. I'd bring in a guy like Rob Ryan. An aggressive guy that focuses on turnovers and sacks. I'd rather an aggressive guy than one who plays it safe like Lebeau has been doing for a couple years now. Lebeau just isn't aggressive enough. I have no time for 10 yard cushions. Absolutely hate it!

I'd give Tomlin and Haley each one more year. I'd let them know they need to find a way to run the ball, score TD's more consistently instead of FG's and put teams away rather than let them climb back into games all the time. They'd need to focus more on disciplined play and ensuring the team plays for the full 60 minutes. They'd each be told if they can't accomplish all those things, they're gone.

Then when Tomlin and Haley once again couldn't do those things, I'd fire them after next season.

As you can tell, I don't expect improvement as long as Tomlin is here. I don't much care if Haley is fired or not, I don't think anything will change with a new OC.

My thoughts exactly Freak. You must be really smart

I think Worilds and Cotch are the two most important re-signs. Velasco is up there too. We can't let both Sanders and Cotch walk, so I bet we get something done with Jerricho. I'm not in the least bit interested in re-signing Clark, Keisel, and Foote due to age. Hood can stay if he takes back up money, but I bet he'd want to start somewhere. And $ander$ will be too expen$ive for us...

I would move Velasco to Foster's spot. Keep Pouncey at center.

I posted in another thread about Troy and Ike taking a pay cut. Suppose they don't? We have to be prepared for that. So, that leaves Cordez Allen and William Gay as corners. Sharmarko Thomas and Robert Golden as Safeties. Will Allen is a free agent I believe. Clark will be gone. :hmmm:

First of all no one in the NFL ever trades...
Second, What do you think any team would actually give for Woodley @ his salary and injury history, a bag of practice balls?
Last I am not sure people understand if we trade Woodley this year he will count for 14.1 mill against our cap...the only way he is gone is post june 1st cut

No levi brown will not be back he is due to make 6 mil next year...unless he is cut and re-signed for a vet minimum

I am for keeping Woodley if we can extend him for a reduced salary. Otherwise cut him. Troy needs to come back for less. Personally I think we have found our depth at OL. Keep Velasco, Pouncey and Wallace. Beachum is doing well at LT. Whimper seems to be getting it. Gilbert is playing solid ball. Adams is getting better. I would keep Velasco and decide either him or Pouncey move to G at Foster's spot.

Need to sign Cotchery and Worilds. Sanders I would like to resign but I think he wants his payday and he is too inconsistent for me.

The draft needs to be either a big WR playmaker or CB.

As for the coordinators, I was all for cleaning house. Things seem to be getting better. These last two games would decide who stays and who goes. Right now I am leaning on keeping the staff together for another season. As NBC pointed out we lost both our defensive playcallers in week 1. That I think has as much to do with our start as anything.

AAAHHHH The only way Woodley's contract changes for next year is if they post june 1st cut him....he is scheduled to count 14.1 against the cap no matter what happens to him next year!!!!!!!!!!! (except june 1st cut)

and do u really think he will take a straight pay cut???? not gonna happen

he is already 14.1 in dead money from restructures

straight up cuts of troy and ike will save a ton of money...approximately 15 million
im fairly certain 1 or both might be good as gone

to me the woodley future can be only out of pittsburgh . they can't restructure him because he has already to much dead money , they can't keep him at that price , so he will be cut or trade if they can find the way to absorb the all dead money in one year

No way can he be traded or cut....if he is to be gone it will june 1 cut like colon...it would be way too much cap space to absorb...but i agree i think hes gone

who knows maybe they restructrure brown miller and ben, ike and troy take a pay cut they release clark and kiesel ,they sign worilds with the low base salary , we should see how much money we save , but i agree post june cut is the most probable
i forgot we have the colon dead money too ...

I would try to bring back Ziggy Hood at a fair price. He's still young, strong, and while he isn't dominant, he stays healthy and would be a good enough rotational player along the d-line in any scheme. I'd bring him back and say thank you and goodbye to Keisel, unless Hood is looking for some crazy dollar amount and Keisel isn't.

Honestly I hope they do cut Woodley. I like the guy when he can play but at this rate he will last maybe 6 games a year. Take the hit and cut him June 1st and draft a replacement. Keisel I think will be gone. Not sure about Hood. We are going to lose quite a few "names" this off-season but it needs to be done.

Keisel out makes room for one of them. As for the other, maybe we stash on the practice squad again in hope that no one picks him up, or get rid of one of our 6 TE's! Cam, McClendon, Hood, Woods, Arnfeldt, Williams? Three guys that can play NT and three guys that are pure ends. Keisel and Fangupo out.

And what about Plaxico? Is he coming back or done? He's pushing, what, 38 years old now? 37? I'd cut ties with him and give Moye some more developmental looks.
