Not so funny anymore.

Is anyone else getting a bit tired of all the jokes being made about the Steelers? I'm normally very thick skined about these things and some good natured humor can help ease the pain of a losing season. Yes the Tomlin sideline pictures are funny and I get a laugh out i f the Ben turnovers jokes but it is starting to get old. It like the guy you work with who keeps telling you bad jokes because you laughed once. It gets tiring. I would much rather have my favorite team feared, hated, called names like "sh@#sburgh" than being made the butt if so many jokes. I mean they aren't the Browns but then again maybe they are due for some mocking. Well karma is a, oh you know the rest

I'm fine with it. That's the stuff you have to tolerate when your team plays the way the Steelers have this year

 

Who's telling the jokes? I don't think I've heard any.

Remember the thread earlier this season where there was talk about Browns fans were talking smack?
Cincy's doing well and they should feel good about theirselves , but in relation to the Steelers overall we own their ass!
I don't talk smack to other football fans cause when the Steelers have a season like 2013 I don't want to hear it.
Most people who know me know how passionate I am about the Steelers, and they are more sympathetic toward me than douchey when the Steelers are struggling.

 

Got to suck it up for now. Because when we were on top and winning those super bowls and going to playoffs I dished out my share of jokes and talking smack.

 

I don't mind the smack talk because that can be backed up or not on the field and I think I commented in that thread that the Browns and Bengals have a right to trash talk a bit because they were at the time playing better than the Steelers. The thing that is wearing thin for me is the Facebook posts, the Meme jokes, the continual replay of the same jokes. Like I said in my original post it is like the guy who keeps telling you blonde jokes because that one time you laughed at one, the one you just smile at and secretly want to say give it a rest already.

Are those people you're friend with on Facebook posting those? I do Facebook and haven't seen anything like that.

 

That turnover one is pretty freaking funny. I really think your skin isn't quite as thick as you think. Seriously you're getting bothered by internet memes.

 

No most if the ones I get are from a site called sports funny pages that somehow got on my Facebook. I don't delete them because they are kind of funny. The other ones get shown to me at work because they is such a variety of different team fans with the people I work with. The Vikings fans are usually very easy going. Though the London game got me some well deserved teasing.

 

Man, Ben has gotten fat...look how thin his face is in that first pic. If they extend him, better put a weight clause in the contract.

 

Like I said I can laugh at them and they are cute but lets be honest when the laughing is done don't you want to see someone body slamming an opposing teams fan and say "laugh at that "

You have to suck it up. Steelers fans have been on the giving end of jokes over the years and now it's our turn to be on the receiving end.

 

Those are actually pretty great. I laughed out loud at several of them. Especially the Patriots one

 

I look at it like this. The Steelers have been so good for so long now that people couldn't WAIT until we slipped so they could talk smack. It's almost a jealousy issue imo. Heck, being surrounded by brownie fans here in Canton I heard all kinds of garbage early on. They've been waiting for what seems like forever to be able to talk smack again that they were all over Steeler fans early in the season. It's funny now how they've quieted down to a whisper since they're back to being the laughing stocks they were meant to be. What they say now is "Now you know what it's like to be a browns fan" instead of the quirky jokes. As far as other fans besides browns I can't say because I don't hear it from them tbh.

Jeez, if you're really bothered by that kinda stuff you need to lighten up. We've dominated forever and now when we "stink" we'll probably still end up around .500

Browns fans have been made fun of constantly for years and years. Sack up man.
