    I'm sure there are.

I have 4 and have an appointment tomorrow to start on a coverup of the first one I got. I'm getting a half sleeve with 2 koi fish and a few lotus flowers. One koi is going to be red (represents mother) and one black (represents father but it's actually for my stepfather who has been in my life for 25 years) and I'm getting the Japanese symbols for mother and father worked in somewhere. I'm scheduled for a 7 hour sitting tomorrow and will probably have another 5-6 hours spread over 1 or 2 more sessions to get it finished.

I have 2 portraits, one of my grandfather and one of my uncle who have both passed away and were my father figures growing up. I also have an eagle holding an American flag and an Italian flag on my calf.

Cool tats, Scott. I'm not an ink guy myself. I admire artwork on others, but it's not my thing. I did get a really bad bear tattoo on my shoulder after a few too many adult beverages when I was 18. Thankfully, I had the sense to stop the guy from putting it on my chest like he wanted to.

My nephew made a bad decision after a few adult beverages and got his name tattooed on his arm. We always tease him about it being his boyfriend's name or say that he needs it when he is wasted and someone asks him what his name is.

I have quite a few... koi on one upper arm (half sleeve), Dia de los Meurtos piece on the other upper arm and Wu Fu bats design underneath on same arm, new school cherries on my wrist, new school broken heart on forearm, foo dogs on my hips, an asian blackwork reed design up my spine, lotus on my lower back, black cat on back of shoulder, claddagh middle of shoulder blades, celtic sun on ankle and Steelers insignia on ankle. I think that's all, but every time I list them, I seem to forget one I can't see.

I've got 5. A phoenix on the back, old family crest on shoulder, some Egyptian gods on one leg that were supposed to be the beginning of a big piece, but never got around to fleshing it out. The first tat I ever got was a yin yang symbol. A friend with benefits and I got matching yin yang tats in Neport RI many years ago. About ten years later at her wedding reception she climbed up on a table, hiked up her dress, and showed her grandmother her tattoo. Then she proceeded to scream " and John's got one just like it" while pointing at me. Needless to say I got the evil eye from her new husband, her family, the inlaws....

Close, but it's actually a reference to "the only band that matters".
