I believe that is the name of our starting center against the `Fins, tomorrow, and I know NOTHING about him...
We got really lucky with Velasco...
I knew nothing about him, either, but he came in, and did a great job, IMHO, `Till he got placed on IR...
Anyone know anything about this guy, that`s gonna be hiking the ball to Ben this week?
"Obviously", not an ideal situation, but, has he done the job well at the college level, or beyond?
I see a lot of threads about other things, but haven`t seen much about our replacement center, since we signed him last week...
Yinz confident in him? Know much about him?
Any links/ info, would be appreciated...
Just trying to steer the conversation away from the 2 or 3 "BIG" topics we`ve had lately...
We Gonna be okay with this new center?
    GO STEELERS!!!:herewego!:

Ok, I looked around a little, and found this...
    http://www.post-gazette.com/sports/...ce-will-make-first-start/stories/201312030070
Not exactly inspiring a lot of confidence in me...
But, It`s tuff to replace TWO starting centers in the same year...
Anyone got reasons I should have some faith in this kid? (thrust into a starting job, in a week?)...
    GO STEELERS!!!
I will always have faith... it just feels kinda misplaced, in this case...
    Go Cody!!!

Thanks for the answer... I guess we got a "journeyman"...
    Could be worse...
It`s not often you have to replace your starting center twice in a year...
We will move on, and the "standard is the standard"... But you gotta admit, this makes things a bit more difficult...
    GO STEELERS!

Wow. This little blurb from Wikipedia really makes me want to root for the guy:

Wallace was raised by his paternal grandparents, since both his parents died when he was young. When he was 8, his father, aged 43, died in prison—which he was in for charges that include theft—due to liver failure and a ruptured esophagus, both caused by alcoholism. His mother died of an unknown illness when he was 16, and was unable to take care of her two children many years before that. To feel his mother's presence, he wears her stud earrings. His older brother by two-and-a-half years has served four years in prison for drug charges.[24] Wallace stated: "Going through so much at a young age, it seems like I can handle more difficult situations maybe easier than most people."

he has been here since a week before velasco. he played guard for us against someone a few weeks ago when foster went down in a game. he was pretty good at texas A&M. he's mobile. has good feet and quickness. we shall see soon enough if he can seal up the middle like velasco. I think he'll be fine and may bring some upside on the move.

yea jack, I've read about that before. pretty sad. the kid has done well for himself getting this far. I'm rooting for him. I have said before, he might be a guy they want to try and re-sign also. I believe he's better then legursky was because of his size and mobility and he CAN play guard better. would be a good backup.

As an aside, William Gay also has quite an interesting life story, which I found completely by accident when I was looking up his stats... actually made me want to root for him (finally) doing well.

:lolol: I kind of like Wallace. He's got a litle nastiness to him and represented himself pretty well yesterday. I think he could be a keeper as a backup C/G.

LOL at the way the Dolphin player's leg goes up in the air after he's grabbed!

He was probably trying to give people something to talk about other than his two sacks and two penalties against the Dolphins.

I don't know, but I'd sure has hell would like to see that as the "Caption This Thread" for the week. :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Edit: Maybe Cody is "above the line" when it comes to studing the opposition, and found out that guy has hemmys?? If he sticks with us next year, I'm voting yes for a Cody "The Molester" Wallace icon.

Me, too! Actually I saw it when Charlie Batch posted something on Facebook about domestic violence. I watched the video and listened to Willie talk about his story. Absolutely horrible.
