This can be spun any way that the author wants to spin it. You are either going to hurt us in the draft or you aren't. By waiting until the end of the season you are essentially "calling your shot" and it sure gives the appearance that you are wanting to inflict a kill shot. In other words, it sure looks pretty shady and biased. I guess I'm too black/white kind of person. The loss or downgrade of a draft pick does not fit the crime.

This thread would not have created if Ryan Clark had a good season going on.

Sure it would. There are always people that hate when he speaks, no matter how true his words. There are also always people that insist he's playing badly, even when he's not.

Do you think he is playing well?

Clark has diarrhea of the mouth, loves his social media and he can use those skills next season on some pregame show.

Just like most players in this league, yeah at times he is playing well and other times he's not. I've had issues with his play this season and then i've also seen him do things that I felt helped us get the W. I've come to the conclusion we expect a lot more out of some players than others and when Clark has a few off games we look at him a bit different than players we don't hold to such high standards as Clark. What i'm saying is we seem to expect more from him and when he has off days it gets a bit magnified. It's not like he's been terrible....at least imo

I don't think he was receiving as much criticism last season, though I seem to recall 'Shut Up Clark' threads.

If Clark really "lights up" Mike Wallace, all will be forgiven. :smiley1:

One of the things I don't like about how Goodell operates is how he handled the spygate thing the NFl destroyed the tapes. Belichick lied and said he didn't know it was illegal. The media and the public never got to see what was on the tapes, the NFL destroyed to save themselves and the Patriots from embarrassment.

He's playing better than he gets credit for, same as every other year. It's definitely been a down year for him (and much of the rest of our team), but he never gets enough credit if you ask me. By the way, logorrhea might be the word you want, but it doesn't apply to Clark. When he speaks, he's making calculated decisions, and gets his point across clearly.

If we'd seen the tapes, Goodell would have been pressured to hand down a real punishment. As it is, he can issue a fine and take away their second pick in the draft and say, "Trust me, that's enough." Then the talking head defenders of the league and the Pats can say, "Oh, those tapes probably didn't really even help them that much. I bet they would have won all those Super Bowls anyway." Uh-huh...

Actually it goes deeper than that for the NFL.

That Anti-trust exemption would have been on the table had it been shown that there was some form of "fixing" the outcomes of games, ala WWF style. That's the real reason they destroyed it and gave them a slap on the wrist. There were some things on those tapes that were damning for sure.
