The Steelers could have a shot at drafting him he has been described as a mauling tackle who can set the tone in the run game, and is fluid enough to handle speed rushers. In some mock drafts I have seen he has been projected to go the Steelers. I would prefer him over Taylor Lewan of Michigan who seemed to have a disappointing season.

+1 on this. He plays in a pro-style offense, but how will he do when he has to hold his blocks for 4+ seconds?
I kid; BR has done much better at getting the ball out lately. Must want to be able to chase the little one on the way.

That worries me. What is enough? That's what they said when they threw Adams over on left.

Think they could get him and his brother? then maybe pick up Pounceys' as well? 4 brothers and Decastro!

it looks like erving is going to be out of reach, but I'm not completely sold on kouandjio, or lewan. I see lewan as mike adams 2.

I am REALLY not sold on Lewan yet. I think Kouandjio has played himself into a pretty high draft slot now that people have seen that he's still really good even without Warmack line up next to him. Despite how well Beachum has played, if K is there when we pick we have to seriously consider taking him.

Exactly. I've heard he's raw, and may have more potential than any OT in the draft. I'm pretty sure they said the same thing about Mike Adams.

I'm kinda getting tired of these high ceiling athletes. Draft a guy with some decent footwork.

I put a few guys into good enough range and I'm like you in one aspect, footwork first. then like antennaman says, comes from a pro style offense.

david yankey from Stanford has a high ceiling too. he's always played left guard, but is said to be athletic enough to play LT.

Jarvis Jones? He seems to be overmatched in every game he's played in this year.

I still really like Lewan. 40 consecutive starts at LT for a big-time program and under the microscope for the past 25. Big, tough, physical player who would immediately upgrade our RT position and running game, and once up to speed with NFL game could transition to left. Looks to be a fiery leader in the vein of Faneca. I'd take him without a second thought. He was my #1 target last year before returning to school, and is likely the same for me this year.

Wouldn't mind this guy from 'Bama, either. Seems pretty talented and more athletic than Lewan.

I wouldn't mind them grabbing two LT capable guys. one early and one late or after the draft depending on how they fall. Justin britt. Wesley Johnson. scherff. hurst. as a few other names to look at. Johnson sounds like another beachum. I'm liking him more and more.

I prefer Cyrus K over Lewan. Better athlete and more battle tested.

I hate to spend another 1st pick on oline even though its a need. I don't think its our biggest especially if we bring back velasco and move pouncey to guard. I am a bama fan and watch them in person as much as I can. I will tell you k jo would be hard to pass on. he is a beast and very intelligent. he might and I say might because if he has a weakness, it would be against speed rushers but with him it is knit picking.
