I knew he was a troll. No REAL self respecting Steelers fan would EVER name himself after the abomination that is Steely Dan. I KNOW some of you old hipsters are gonna destroy me for that! But I'm holding my ground! As a matter of fact the Steelers this year might oughtta be called Deacon Blue. LOL!

 

Thought it was Pimply Dan(Pimp Dylan)?

I learn about things I don't like to make the most amount of fun of them. LOL! You know what Deacon Blue is actually about? It's a sports reference.

 

Deacon Blue was a play on Wake Forest who in the same year that Alabama went undefeated they didn't win anything. So the song is basically about being a loser while those around you are winners. In case you didn't know the reason I said to steelydan about "stabbing it with their steely knives" is because in Hotel California that was a reference to Steely Dan. I figure you knew that though but for some of our less sevant members we should enlighten them. LOL.

 

LOL! And here I was trying to be civil to him because he was new. Man, am I glad that TTF has the ability to see through people and know what their motivations are!

 

Oh man I knew that dude was a troll from the get go. I was having fun out of him actually.

 

Yep. I started getting suspicious with the excessive suckage references and when he made the Gorilla reference about Tomlin, I knew he had to be a low class Turds fan at that point.

 

"I know I'm not a smart man. But I do know what love is" should now be "I know I'm not a smart man. But I do know what a troll is" Then Bubba would be like "internet trolls, message board trolls, facebook trolls, ratbird trolls, treasure trolls..."

LOL! I was actually thinking YOU would be one of the haters. HA! What do I know???

 

I'm going to plain and clear about it since everyone is just arguing:

1. Tomlin never should have been that close to the field.
2. Tomlin looks to have seen him coming, and frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if that were true.
3. The runner did not let up on his speed, and would have been tackled in the same spot regardless.
4. The play was not effected by Tomlin.
5. Tomlin should be fined for standing there.
6. This will never die and will be a stain on the steelers\ravens rivalry going forward.
7. My 2 cents, the season is over. We're not a consistently winning team. This was our first playoff game, and we lost.

 

I think some are ignoring the fact that this easily could have resulted in a TD. The refs would have been justified in awarding the Ravens a TD and lots of TV and radio personalities said it would have been the right call had they done it. Tomlin can't be doing stuff like that. It could cost us a game. It's also bush league.

 

Good post. This captures all the nuances of the situation. I disagree with #7, to an extent. The team can win out, finish 9-7, and make the playoffs. However, the game in Green Bay is a tough one.
