bell as a threat has helped us.

as ben see results, he buys in more. I've always said ben likes what he is comfortable with. the more success he see's the more he's buying into the magic. he doesn't have to try to make a play downfield and extended every play and when he does now , it's much more effective like in his earlier days.

as he reps this offense he gets more comfortable with these plays, and it settles ben down into a zone.

with bell and heath and cotch ,AB and sanders, ben is comfy. he has had some success with each of them at times over the years. him knowing who is where, and who that receiver is on every given route, in certain situations make him dangerous.

thanks a lot in part to beachum sealing the left side immediate rush down to a trickle. velasco doing the same in his face and helping solidify the two guards. he's buying into this cleaner pocket and focusing on these playmakers. another added bit of comfort.

    From the article:
In the following play, the Steelers use a little deception to create a big-play opportunity for Cotchery. The team aligns in a trips formation, with Cotchery positioned in the middle. On the snap, the Steelers will run a fake-bubble screen to the three-receiver side, with Cotchery pretending to block the corner:

When the defender flies up to attack the screen, Cotchery slips past him down the boundary:

The result is an easy pitch-and-catch touchdown that essentially puts the game on ice in a pivotal Steelers win over the Detroit Lions.

THIS IS WHY WE RUN REAL BUBBLE SCREENS, PEOPLE!!!

Bettis said we would start badly and then we would surge middle to late in the season. Here we are. If we win, I will be with this team, but we are going on the road.

He was downright prophetic. He also said that we needed to push the no-huddle and slow down the pass rush back in September.

I thought I read in one of Ben's interviews something to the effect ... "call down from Randy" ... this was after the Browns game.

Does anyone know if they have moved Randy Fichtner from the sidelines up into the boxes during some games?? :hmmm:
