Our defensive Savior has arrived!

Ok probably not LOL But,
Last year while Troy was out we started a few different guys at safety and the results were not good as we all know.
Once Will Allen started playing things calmed down and we improved GREATLY. Now, this season when Allen gets on the field good things start happening! I know he's not the savior or the next coming of Rod Woodson or anything remotely close. But, I like what happens when he's out there. Do you guy's think it's just the fact that Will,Troy and Clark have been together for a bunch of years and they trust each other?

 

It certainly isn't Ike! Man that dude is getting TORCHED the past few weeks. And now he cannot tackle. Pretty useless really.

 

I was really uneasy when Will Allen left for free agency. I also Rogers-Cromartie could help out too. Ryan Munday just fell off last year and think it was a confidence thing after getting torch by Tebow. But Will Allen has been a breathe of fresh air.

 

Don't matter how you say it, glad Will Allen is a Steeler

 

Good point, the guy is making the most of him time on the field. Much like Worilds and Heyward.

 

I also think it helps put Troy in a position to make more splash plays. I noticed he played a lot more like a LB yesterday than a S. And those were times when Allen and Clark were also on the field. I hope Thomas can work his way back to health because I liked what he was bringing also. But yes Will Allen is an addition. Overall I think our defense as a whole has been playing better except for maybe Ike. He has had two really bad weeks.
