They're paying this guy 7 million a year and he gets embarrassed by elite receivers too often Demaryius Thomas of Denver and by Calvin Johnson today. It's bad enough to get beat in coverage but then missed tackles after the catch. The Steelers need a whole new secondary.

Megatron clowns on sveryone. Who cares how good Ike can be-today he needs help over the top.
Today we will see just how slow our back end really is.

Lions could hang 60 on us if
    they wanted too.

Right now it's in Ike's head. We seen this before, give him help over the top or Megatron will have two or three more touchdowns in the second half. Coming Lebeau, If we can see why can't you..

If he could catch he'd be a receiver. At least that is what I hear.

I wonder what would happen If C Allen takes personal coverage over Johnson for the 2nd half. Can't be any worse

    Ike, Sllverback here, you know
a couple days ago the thread
they had started about you. And I said
the steelers will ask you about taking
a 50% pay cut? I think they will make
    it a 75% cut after today.Ike I always
knew you couldn't cover or catch, but
atleast I thought you could tackle?

He had a bad game...so what, everyone has them. NO player is perfect. 8-9 times out of 10 Ike takes care of his business/WR and thats the end of it. Nobody else on the team right now can do that (esp since they let Lewis walk).

Calvin Johnson does this to everyone. He needs help just like everyone else. I'm glad they made the adjustment. If they would of did this in the Tebow game probably would of been a better turn out.

I'm sorry, lose this game and it's all on Ike period. They adjusted in the 2nd half and kept Ike off Johnson. He was beaten like a rented mule. Memories of the Denver game. Yea every dog has his day but it's time to get younger and faster in the secondary, and Ike just doesn't fit that mold now. Gotta run with what you have this season, next year changes need to be made.

Lots of corners have bad games against Megatron. The guy put up 300 against the Cowboys and looked like he was going to do that again today but he had ZERO in the second half. Ike's good enough that they thought he could do it without help. They thought wrong an that's not necessarily and indictment of Ike as it as a statement of just how good Johnson is. The impressive thing about the second half if they shut down Johnson without letting Reggie Bush run free.

A lot of the things that went wrong in the second quarter are things that have killed us this year and over the last few years. The second half of the game however was some of the best football this team has played in three years. I'll take improved play as long as it doesn't get in the way of a much needed off-season overhaul.

One would think that they at least wanted to hang 40 on us but couldn't get that done.

I didn't really have a chance to analyze the game too much, who was covering Johnson in the second half? Or did they just give Ike safety help over the top?

CJ is the first receiver this year to have his way with Ike, does it to everyone. I'll take Ike on my team any time, stone hands and all.

    Agreed.

Ike Taylor is one of the ten best corners in team history. He helped win a Super Bowl by making an absolutely critical interception, a play which should earn him a lifetime free pass.

Yes he was very bad in the first half, against a Hall of Fame caliber WR. Mel Blount and Rod Woodson had atrocious games at times too, it comes with the territory with the CB position.

CJ has done this to every DB he's played. He's a living record breaker for cripes sake!

    Calm down.

Yep, I suppose every team has a casual fan post, 'we need to cut our CB because Calvin burned him'.
