with all the ben distraction going on, well at least here, we still have a game to play sunday. does any of this added distraction take this team away from the goal of having to winout to make the playoffs? we have an opponent coming in here sunday that is no slouch. we are beat up and are missing some guys. add the big ben trade rumors and we could let this slip away quickly.

shamarko being down worries me. he's our speed back there. maybe Vandyke sees the field to bring some speed. gay and tez will have to have a big day. Woodley's most likely out so worilds and JJ get the start. carter i'm sure will be active this week. Timmons and Williams will have to contain reggie bush. keisel is ailing , so can cam create enough pass rush to be disruptive?

the O-line is beat up too and down to two healthy backups. Wallace and adams. not sure why a move from the PS at least wasn't made this week. we have gone through 8 guys once already this year. i'm looking for a lot of screens with the front they are facing. we will have to be on the hot route situation, but that's hard to do when they can bring that much pressure that quick with just 4 guys. there db's are beatable. the checkdowns could be important this week.

we have to win the kicking game. any more thoughts?

Well we probably won't run the wildcat this week, Haley has been giving it off on odd numbered Sundays.

Since we will have trouble running, there will be a ton of passing. So there will likely be at least one benching for running a wrong route.

The biggest question is will the "Bee's" be 2-1 or 1-2 after this game?

Hopefully they are staying focused. Need to give Ben some time, Detroits secondary is ranked near the bottom of the league, can hurt them their.

I'd actually like to see a decisive Steeler win followed by Ben being interviewed and him telling Ian Rappoport to shove it up his ass ... wonder how much Roger Gotohell would make the fine? :hmmm:

After which, Rappoport will show up on Monday Night countdown saying the same crap!

We're in big trouble ... no "EMDiggy" with his weekly post. The last week he missed was the Patriots game.

I have to believe someone told Rappaport this to try and deflect some of the Incognito talk.

    Plans with-in Plans.....

I can't figure Detroit out, they play
with to much inconsistency for me.
Lots of talent, but as stated poor secondary.

Just not as high on Stafford. This is a turning point game.
Facing a team with a weak secondary, not that the Steelers are any better, but a slight edge. Keep the passes coming Ben. No Huddle the crap out of them, gas their front four. Tough task for the offenseive line today, so keep it moving.
With Woodley out we shall see a lot of Jarvis Jones, looking forward to that. Need to smack around Stafford.
Reggie Bush is their X factor, have to limit, take him out of the game plan. Johnson having a gimp knee and Burleson doubtful they will rely on Bush.

    Go Steelers!

Thinking if the D can carry over the mojo from last week they can win this thing! Need more pressure on Stafford though keep his butt on the bench.
