I have to wonder what the STEELERS think about this topic. I'm sure that publicly they would spout the company line, but I wonder what they talk about among themselves. In other words, I wonder how a supposed vendetta against them, or specific players serves as a motivator to show up Goodell.

Oh no Mr/Ms. Steel...you don't have to agree with me at all.

And yes...if your open mind sees the sky as purple then it certainly is purple.

Or maybe you should remove the purple glasses and see what the sky really looks like.

Even CBS Sports agreed with what I saw.

What the heck are you looking at?

I think Harrison should play within the rules but currently there doesn't seem to be any.

Have you considered the fact that most, if not all of the GM's and owners agree with the stance Goodell is taking. He has a ton of support among the various owners. The reality of today's world is that the NFL either has to show they are attempting to limit head injuries, or they will be facing constant legal battles from ex-players who can't even tie their own shoes. The NFL really doesn't have a choice in the matter, they must either show they're trying, or they're going to be sued out the ass.[/quote:3mn2nlnb]

I have no idea how the other owners feel towards Goodell and the GM's don't matter, they aren't Goodells boss. I don't think ours is to thrilled with him though considering they have met with RG to discuss these fines and now there has been a suspension which they are probably even less thrilled with. And I don' think the threat of being sued is weighing into anything either, I don't even know if that is possible, I would think that would be in their contracts that any injuries or long term health effects they would be exempt from any legal action. The real motivation for RG is making money and his dream of an 18 game schedule. He's trying to make the season less grueling, it's almost impossible to finish off a 16 game schedule as it is. And even if everyone was standing behind RG it doesn't change my mind that you can't take violence out of a violent game. The real damage being done isn't coming from big hits anyway, it's coming from the line smashing into each other every single play and RG has gone on record that he wants to remove a 3peat stance. Would you guys back that move too? That one will be the killing blow, I'll always watch my Steelers but if they change that, the game will seriously suck.

Not to jump to conclusions but IMHO, the owner's silence (as well as the NFLPA's) speaks volumes.
