thank you bigsteeler.:smiley1: i'm not sure what the heck happened. I even looked at the first one and it initially read part 1. I went back after putting on part 2 and looked and it was part 2. I did go to part 2 when I tried to put them together in the first thread.

    TTF, help!!!

mog, thanks for the heads up too.:smiley1:

anywho, this is a pretty telling write up. some of the way MT/Colbert do business has changed the way they used to do business.

I stated a year or two ago that I thought cowher did more of the drafting of the team when Colbert got here. he was bills new yes man because donahoe wasn't. now bill is gone and MT and Colbert are not quite as shrewd at drafting (besides a QB) then cowher and Colbert were. mostly because cowher had his way most of the time. I still believe this.

Detroit was a mess when Colbert was there too rebuild wise. not only am I not real high on Colbert but the turnover of the scouting department. doug whaley gone. joe green gone. several longtime scouts gone. coaches that were brought in and let go. pushing of the salary caps to the point we have to now pay the piper.

just thought this would tell the story of how it all went down through the years sometimes gets muddled. not to mention the rooney bros. ousted, and dan off to Ireland, new money owners, team president, omar looking for a GM job elsewhere. all this adds up to it not being the same steeler way to rebuild as we think. it's quite different now from top to bottom.
