How good was Martin? I don't know but was he good enough on the field to be traded for to be a NFL LT?

He'll never play for the Dolphins again and if he wants to play football he'll need to be traded,

so do we make a trade for Martin?

We are one LT away from having a solid OL so should we draft one or make a trade for Martin?

He lost his starting LT job because he sucked. That's when all this BS came out. The guy is not a very good LT and he's apparently a mental midget.

    No thanks

I would definitely kick the tires on this guy. He definitely won't have the same issues in our locker room. If he can't play tackle maybe we try him at guard. Pair him with his Stanford buddy and maybe he would be a better mentor. DeCastro could get him straight.

Adams( if he becomes who we think he should) Martin, Pouncey, DeCastro, Gilbert (if he becomes who we think he should)

Not only would I take Martin if the price was right...I would take Incognito as well. (but maybe not both...LOL)

Its all about the price though...both are damaged goods at this point, but both are worth an attempt to bolster the bottom of the depth chart (Incognito would probably start before long)

If what Cog is saying is true...I grab them both with the understanding that he would not make the same mistakes again...if he truly did have Martins back as he said...and Martin realizes Cog did have his back but maybe took the joke to far...I would totally take both.

I gotta say I wasn't expecting this. I tried to go to PFF and get his stats but its a member only site. The dolphins have him listed as 2nd string RT. I thought he was a LT. I know the fins acquired McKinnie but I didn't know why.

That depends if he is just not good, or if being in a hostile work environment held him back.

Haven't seen him play, so I have no idea. But we have the precedent of James Harrison as someone who wasn't very good / mental midget, who after some years on the right team became a beast.

I'd kick his tires, see if he looks better with the change of scenery (or not).

    Limas for Martin.

    That would be fair.

Why trade for him? He said he couldn't play there. They'll release him

The Dolphins O line was terrible when Martin and Incognito were in the lineup. We have enough bad linemen already.
