At the end of the season, what should the Rooney's questions for Tomlin be?

Also, it would be interesting to see what your correct/incorrect answers might be.

Going to have to wait til the second half of the season is played before we can even think about that. If we win out and make the playoffs Tomlin may be awarded coach of the year.

What's your plan with the assistant coaches?
Are you going to ask Lebeau to retire?
What's your plan in this upcoming draft?
Are we targeting a Left Tackle?

What's your plan on Ryan Clark and Troy?
Do you think we should keep Haley at least another year?

But if we don't, IMO we need to be prepared and ready to make some fast decisions, rather than letting someone like Bobby April slip thru our hands again.

This is what the coach had to say about the game: After looking at the game tape on Monday, Head Coach Mike Tomlin said his team was simply outplayed by New England, and effort was not the issue. He discussed his decision to keep quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in on the final drive against the Patriots, and did not hesitate to say that safety Troy Polamalu will continue to have his freedom in the Steelers' defense.

Now anyone watching the game saw all that, but he offers no solutions to anything. Strictly my opinion and I know I will get beat up for this but so what.

Let's start with the Rooney's, Dan step down and give it to Art Jr. or someone else in the family.
Lebeau retire or be fired. Don't try and be the Paterno that Penn State had. Your time has pasted
Give a real close look at Colbert. Is he still the man for the job?
Yes we should target a left tackle.
Clark and Troy need to go. Troy does nothing and cost us a lot of penalties last game. He is all over the field but in the wrong spots and the same with Clark. The defense does not cover well against the pass and as I said before the Pats game, they own us and they know it.
Haley should go. Just what system does he have. Ben said a few years back that " This is not your father's team anymore". Well Ben I want my father's team back, we won 4 SB's with that system and two more with what was let of it. The Rooney's need to draft a few good RB's and some receivers that can break loose. Why didn't they use Miller more on short yardage. That is all I have to say now I'm ready for the blasting.

The same question I'm sure they ask every year, "How can we be an SB contender, next season?"

Mike, Just exactly what do you think "the standard" is, and how exactly can you help us get back to our version of it?
Why have our players seemed disinterested in winning games against lesser teams, outside our division, for the last couple seasons, when winning even ONE of those games, let alone the two or three that we clearly should have, would get us in the playoffs?
What value do you place on taking the players out to Dave and Busters, as a "team building exercise", when they are clearly not "up to snuff" on the fundamentals, of tackling, lining up in the proper formation, not jumping offsides, not "showboating", or getting unecessary penalties, for personal fouls, etc... That could be taught on the field, in training camp(That as pro football players, they SHOULD already know)?
When are you gonna start watching the game clock, and realizing, we only have sixty minutes of official "football time", each game, to do what we have to do?
When are you gonna start telling your co-ordinaters, that we don`t just play another generic NFL team each week, and each specific team has strengths and weaknesses, that can be exploited, with a specific game plan, instead of just continuing to focus on what we want to do any given week, regardless of whether we are good at it, or not, or who we are playing?
Ok... Sorry, this is a bit harsh, and I could go on, but I won`t.
I`m just frustrated, like the rest of my Black-n-Gold brothers and sisters out there.
    I`ll quit now.
    GO STEELERS!!!:herewego!:

Can we be expecting a repayment of your salary for impersonating a head coach soon?

its easy for us as fans to be critical of Tomlin, but around the NFL he is very well respected.

obviously im not in the NFL, but when you hear ex players, sports show hosts, analysts, ex gm's, ex coaches current players and so on giving the guy praise its tough to think hes not doing something right.

sure we hate to hear the same crap he says after each loss, but the guy is in a tough spot. its not like this i a team that is loaded and under achieving. this is an old team that is money strapped and just doesnt have a ton of talent.

i just dont see the Rooneys firing him after this season, but if next year doesnt show some turn around than i could see it then.

i do think DL and Haleys jobs are safe. i think DL has been a great coach in the NFL, but i dont think his defense works anymore. i think Haley isnt a good play caller and when Ben calls the plays this team is much better. if the offense keeps struggling and only looks good when they are in the no huddle and Ben is calling the plays i cant see any reason why they would bring Haley back.

The Rooneys first and ONLY Q to Tomlin after this season should be....."What team do you think you will be working for next year Mike?"

Realistically, the questions will be in line with, "How can we get better? Who needs to stay and who do we cut ties with?"
