Lacey is running behind a rookie Oline, they just know how to coach up 4th round rookies and free agents to do the most basic thing an oline can do, run block...

Offensive line is symbol of Packers’ success

GREEN BAY—They’re coaches of the year in their own right, and if they had such an award for assistant coaches, James Campen and Edgar Bennett would be strong candidates.

Campen is the coach of a Packers offensive line that has undergone a major transformation following a year when it was blamed for everything from too few rushing yards to too many sacks. The line was flip-flopped for this season, which means none of its starters has played a full season as a starter at their current positions.

On top of that, Campen’s starting left tackle is a rookie.
    The result?
The Packers have the league’s No. 3 running game and the Packers are in the top half of the league in sacks per pass play.

“It’s a combination of work in every facet of the offense. It comes down to a whole lot more than linemen staying on their blocks. You can see the growth in them. They’re getting momentum through confidence,” Campen said.
So who gets the credit for this dramatic improvement?
“The players do. It’s a testament to their fortitude. It’s a component of a lot of things. Usually, when coach (Mike McCarthy) has made an emphasis, it’s gotten better.”

Thank you Diamond,I have been saying this for a long time,
Surely the Rooney's will figure this out soon enough. As coach Cliche says, this is a results oriented business.

Bell is gonna be fine. hes running behind a terrible oline and on a team that is always playing from behind and has no commitment to the running game.

hes still gonna end up with 700 plus yards this season. thats not bad for missing the 1st 4 games and with all their issues.

I heard Buffalo ask OJ if he would consider coming to play.. they told him he's still good with the cut & run.

Sooner or later you have to look at the players, not everything is always the coaches fault. We've been through how many OL coaches in the last several years? None of them know how to coach? There's only so many things you can teach about how to block, comes a time you need to place blame on the players, they are the ones executing. Green Bays line also hasn't endured the injuries we have.

people have to understand too that playing from behind and a qb that holds the ball like ben does is not going to look as good for our O-Line as some others. playing from behind and throwing so much kinda tips your hand.

play action or not , we never have been able to establish a run game long enough for defenses to have to deal with play action. we are constantly throwing to try and catch up. defenses know it. pin their ears back and make our line the scapgoats.

this line for the most part has given ben decent time and some clean pockets to work from. he adds another dimension to our O-line sucks, he holds the ball. our line isn't near as bad since adams was moved. the defense needs to do they're part and take some heat off of "our O-LINE sucks".
