I'd like to take Tomlin at his word

And I do not mean "the standard is the standard." I mean that he is taking responsibility. He keeps saying that, so I am going to stop looking for other reasons - it is on him by his own admission.

I would love for the next game to be everyone playing for their job. Coordinators, position coaches, players, everyone, including the head coach. A loss, and Haley and Lebeau are gone - let the in house protégés take over for rest of the year to give them some experience going into next year. What would we have to lose?

So what do you think Tomlin is going to actually do?

 Why do you guys hope for such things, it's like some of you just started following the Steelers.

You know Blast, even in the successful recent years hope has been all this team had. I've been a homer for damn near 40 years, and while it's all beyond obvious you still hope that in the end... ITS JUST REALLY THAT OBVIOUS, at least to those that matter anyhow.

Some of us know what's up, we know the trend but why not question it or at least attempt to buck it? Things change, yet this team doesn't... At least not in the positive nature.

Hoping for mass firings is a waste and I am glad they don't operate that way.

I too too am glad that they do not operate that way, but it would be a nice change for people to play/game plan/discipline outside of their comfort zone.

Standard is the standard and next man up quotes are about as unappealing as the current crop of overpaid divas playing the game! Man I miss what appeared to be closer to the ideal of fundamental football that is year by year disappearing and at an alarming rate. Give me the heart from the 80s/90s teams any day of the week over this current bunch of talented half assers and I'll gladly take the results

The more they lose the more Tomlin uses the word "obviously" in every sentence.

    At least this must stop.

I think my frustration has asserted itself after watching the Steelers for four decades. I know it won't happen, don't really think it should happen, but wish something different would happen.

I remember a game last year when the moment any RB made a mistake, they were benched and the next guy was up...

    It was an unmitigated disaster.
