Blow this whole team up. I think it's going to be a long time before this team is competitive again. They will always be my team but I'm done making time for them on Sundays. I refuse to let this group of OVERPAID athletes ruin my day. Just accept the fact that we are awful, let the millionaires worry about what happens on the field.

Yes. But it MUST be road kill.

I live in the sticks. I see two or three a week this time of year. Would PETA be angry if I mailed one to Tomlin's office?
I'd say so since they're headquarters is in the Baltimoron area.

I think a skunk would be more appropriate. Or as we call them here in the mountains, a polecat.

Wow! A football team looses and it ruins your whole day? I'm a fan too (of course), but I never let a win or loss effect my day/etc. When its all said and done...no matter how passionate any of us get/are...its still just a game, no need to let it ruin days/weeks/lives/etc.

    One word explanation: Youth.

Loses used to really bother me, but as time goes by and real life responsibilities hit, games stopped bothering me.

i still get into them, and yell and scream during. But only stay upset for a few hrs.

Losses come so natural to me now.......It use to get me down, (not life changing), but by Wednesday I was over it. Now, I'm over it within hours after we lose.

I'm the same. After a few hours I'm looking forward to the next game. My kids really get down when they lose but I for one have been through the Kent Graham, Bubby Brister years and able to recover quicker.

I have been through those years as well. However, I think it depends on the loss. Yesterday's loss, I could handle because I honestly did not expect us to win. I feel like, for whatever reason, we just cant beat the Raiders. I was pissed during the game, especially the first half, but got over it. I can honestly say, though, that there have been games that have ruined my entire day. Getting blown out by the Ravens on opening day two (or is it three) seasons ago comes to mind and Im 43 so youth doesnt have anything to do with it.

yeah I am more like this now. More so the last couple of years. I enjoy watching but not with the same intensity as previous years. I use to indulge in a few beers during the game and now drink pop or even coffee. I know weird lol

Like you slick I am over it pretty much after I snap off the TV which incidentally was the point where the Raiders had intercepted Bens throw in the 4th quarter. Not very often I feel the need to stop watching but yesterday I was so disappointed I could not watch anymore of what looked to be high school football

It just shows how far we've fallen as a team. "We just can't beat the Raiders." The fact is, we seem to lose to inferior teams and for the better part of the last couple of decades, the Raiders have been an inferior team. Good teams are supposed to beat inferior teams. Good QBs are supposed to beat inferior QBs. Manning (Peyton that is) schools every QB that goes against him. We have a franchise (not elite) QB in Ben but we can't beat bad teams. There is something horribly wrong with the picture now being painted in Pittsburgh. What is going on??!! We've had a problem with inferior teams for practically ALL of Mike Tomlin'e tenure. Even when we were going 12-4 when we had veteran leadership that compensated for the head coach's inadequacies we still struggled against bad teams and allowed them to stay in games. Now we lose to bad teams. I guess that's because we are a bad team. We come out FLAT and UNPREPARED in virtually every game that seems to matter. This past weekend's game mattered! We needed it to keep the momentum going. The fact that we've struggled against the Raiders in the past should have meant that Tomlin had our team MORE PREPARED THAN WE'VE EVER BEEN AGAINST THEM but once again we come out flat and unprepared and play uninspired football. And that IS ON THE HEAD COACH MORE THAN ANY OTHER COACH OR PLAYER ON THE TEAM!

    That's all I meant.
