Both side get plenty blame... D giving up back to back first downs and the offense never got anything going until the end of the game

We wouldn't even be having this discussion is Suisham hits those 2 FG's.

Sick of wide receiver screens, draw plays and the Bengals.

This team just doesn't have it. There are so many issues to address both on the player and coaching side. It is so painful to watch these games. It is a damn shame we traded our 3rd round pick to Cleveland next year as it looks like it will be in the top 15 and we could use the pick. I think the Steelers need to consider trading players for picks in the upcoming draft to get back to a competitive team.

I'll second that, but our game managment at the end of halves and games has always been atrocious with these guys. Case in point....they take their last TO of the first half 8 seconds after the play ends, leaving 13 or so seconds from the 18 or so yard line. They run a slant play where the pass is dropped. Had it been caught, the clock may have run out and if not all you'd be doing is setting up a 27 yard field goal instead of a 34 yard field goal.

It's interesting to contrast a team like the Pats (who I know we all hate), but when the game is on the line, they have a plan to get down the field that goes beyond the next one play and then not knowing what to do if the play actually works. Ben burning that timeout was because he was over arguing for a facemask or something he wasn't going to get....instead of getting the team back to the line. Do you notice the successful teams when their is urgency to score, run back to back plays without there being a bunch of confusion, and so the defense doesn't have time to substitute? Heck, when we're 'urgent' the defense has time to substitute, change plays, write home, whatever they want. It's an awful aspect of our game (like so many others) but since we are often in close games despite ourselves, it's one that shows its ugly head EVERY SINGLE GAME!!!!!

Who do you want them to trade (other than maybe Sanders)?

Obviously, they had bad clock management.

Here's a thought when you win the coin toss take the damn ball and go on offense first especially when you don't have a dominating defense. They go on defense first and give up a 93 yd TD run to a freaking QB.

maybe some of the older, expendable players. they shouldn't trade everyone, but they should only ignore offers for any of the must-keep players (Ben, Polamalu... heck, even AB, etc.)

Smart football has not been played for a while now. At some point that has to come back on the team leaders, coaches, and management.

No seriously, I'm sick of watching our kicker play lights out and being consistent all year. He has one bad game and everyone starts screaming 'fire the kicker!'.

    Meanwhile, Ben is untouchable.

No. I am not putting it solely on Suisham, but just saying that if he hits those two then it's an entirely different game and more than likely a different outcome.

I can't even watch the games (only listen on Sirius) and I can tell you that it's coaching that stinks.

Yeah that timeout at the end was ponderous.
Better to take the 5 yard penalty and save the timeout at that point. Even if it meant kicking a FG and then going for a TD. That cost them 40+ valuable seconds plus possibly field position.
