Yes. Let's give them credit. I was extremely critical of this group but they played better than I thought they would.

I think the sacks that they got could of been prevented with a throw away.....

I think Adams is a way better right tackle than he is left. I saw him on a few plays holding his block real good. not HOLDING but holding his block

Yeah they did quite well...almost had a 100 yard rusher for the first time in ages. I was wishing they would have had Bell in instead of Jones on that one later series so he could get 100...but no, haha.

could not believe whimper today. he played very well. I was pleased with the oline. I would love to see the oline of the future be beachum-pouncey-velasco-decastro-adams. don't know if pouncey would like it and not sure beachum is a true left tackle but the past two games he has shown me heart

I saw some outside zone blocking today. It was like seeing a shooting star. I made a wish.

I do too. he was getting after some run blocking when he was in, until whimper came back in. they all did a nice job today. ben's learning how to play in a clean pocket. it's new to him. he ran into a few sacks that he didn't need to. this also gives him places to escape that he didn't have before. let's just hope they stay healthy.

I thought the o line did great today for the most part. Especially early in the game. I just kept having this thought in my mind that never came to fruition on the field although it often does. "Foster. It's American for sack." Thankfully he wasn't getting Ben killed too bad today.

The line is only as strong as it's weakest link.

I could live with this line. I have want Pouncey to move over to guard for a while. He seems to always get injured at center maybe a move to guard can take a little pressure off him.

We should also go after his brother in a year to play center. I think his contract might be up this year. hehehe.

Tomlin had mentioned after the game, when asked about Whimper playing at RT over Adams, that he wanted Adams in at TE.

Adams is doing a lot of work as an extra tight end. They’re capable of putting big guys like [Haloti] Ngata out there in that C and D gap and we just wanted to have a big body out there. We planned to do it. We thought if we sustained one injury at tackle we’d be able to stay the course, two obviously, we wouldn’t. So, we were able to stay the course.

Whimper was way better than Gilbert! I was pretty happy with what I saw today.

That was nice to see, I got sick when I saw Whimper in but after the second series I was less worried and then the running game was going so well I forgot about it.

Yeah I was actually pretty ill when Whimper went out and I thought he was injured. But apparently he just got a little dinged up on a play. I was figuring a lot of people were glad to see Adams get some time at RT though.

To be honest, I didnt know anything about Whimper except what I read on here...which wasnt good. So, when I saw him in the game, I was like OH NO - but he exceeded my expectations and, when he got hurt, I was ok with Adams coming in at RT.

Even though whimper was cast aside, he does have NFL experience and that helps with the young guns that need guidance. Look how well Velasco has turned out, and he was sitting home.
Whimper has even caught a touchdown pass in his career.

I wasn't as down on whimper as most but I thought guard may be his calling so he was covered up. I must say he did quite well at RT. I've been saying all year, fix the tackles and we would be much better. I really don't care that beachum is only 6-3, he's smart and has long arms and a good base. so he's not prototypical height, he's a guy that will keep working and can move. this move should have been made earlier.
