honestly I hope he doesn't if it means he will be ready for the playoffs....

 

I think we have a pretty good chance of clinching on Sunday without even playing. If either the Jets, Titans, Broncos, or Raiders lose we are in. Now I know it doesnt clinch the division, but I think at this point if we get in on Sunday that Ben and Pouncy should not play Monday night. We are gonna need them for a playoff run and I think that should be the focus. I say forgo the division title and worry about the playoffs!

 

Mike should catch a 5pm flight out of Buffalo on Sunday evening and join the Steelers for Mondays game.

I don't think anyone would be the wiser.

 

That playoff run would be much easier if we were fortunate enough to capture home field throughout so I say play everybody who's ready, willing and able to play.

 

I agree with your point, but if Ben injures the ankle again or even worse, there is no playoff run!!

Honestly, if the Ravens win Sunday, I let everyone that is hurt rest Monday night and the next week and then start em in Cleveland the final game of the season to knock the rust off.

I agree and more importantly I think the Steelers agree. Can you imagine Tomlin saying in the post game press conference:
"Well, we didn't really think it was important to win this game, so we just decided that we were not that interested in winning the division this year. We all know that Baltimore won't lose for the rest of the regular season so we are just going to look right past these next three games and get ready for the playoffs."
