Ben did not practice, had a noticable limp, and didn't address reporters Wed. Got this from The Tribune Review

According to Tomlin if he doesn't practice he won't play. Be watching to see if Ben practices today. :praying: :godell:

I read yesterday that Tomlin told the SF media Ben wouldn't need to practice to play Monday. Also, Batch said yesterday that he might not know who was starting until Monday.

If Pouncey is out, it probably won't matter if we have a hobbled Ben or a healthy Batch. I have a feeling the Niners defense will spend a lot of time in the Steelers' backfield. Dixon may be the better option if we already have a playoff spot locked up.

Also heard tomorrow was the magic day for Ben to attempt practice so not practicing yesterday doesn't mean much right now. Even if the ankle is feeling better Ben's gonna get as much out of that "Noticeable Limp" as he can

I'm hoping to see Dennis Dixon if Ben does not play in San Fran

I hope Ben sits, no matter what happens in the other games over the weekend. Steelers need a healthy Ben for the playoffs. Ben could sit for the 49ers and the Rams. I dont think the Steelers would have to many problems with the Rams in week #16 without Ben.

Theoretically I agree. But this is based on Batch being much better prepared than in the last game, and a gameplan based around his capabilities.

We know that Ben saves his best for the play offs, so keep him healthy as much as possible.

    NO BATCH! UGH

Would rather take chances with Dixon if Ben couldn't play. Need to let that burned out QB go. :glare:

after watching Sam Bradford of the rams I think Ben could use some rest too. Sam missed 3 weeks with the same injury .. high ankle sprain.. they wrapped him up big time and drugged him ( pain killers) for the Monday nighter
