He is having a monster year. The Steelers absolutely made the right call with him over Wallace. I think he is going to absolutely shred the ravens this week. I'm going two tds on 10 catches and 135 yards. The only thing that could stop this is the ravens struggle against the power running game so they may feed Bell and Dwyer.

Or a drop in the end zone. Sorry, I respectfully disagree with "monster year". AB is currently tied with 50 other players with 2 TD's YTD. Personally, Scoring is about the final result, yardage or reception #'s just pad the paycheck.

Drops happen and nevermind that cro got a hand on it when brown was pulling it in. All the greats have drops. I can remember a bunch of instances when ward dropped the ball. Brown has 1 game less then most other wrs and is 3rd in yards and I think 5th in catches. You can't look at one play and say well he messed up there so he's not having a good year.

I have mixed feelings there. Yes, it would be nice if he had more TDs, but when we get 5 yards out we typically run the ball. It is our MO. Denver throws the ball hence why Welker has 8 TDs and Julius Thomas has 7.

The reality is, the guy has 41 catches on the year....41. That puts him tied for 2nd behind only Andre Johnson. He has the same # of catches as Julio Jones. He has more catches than AJ Green, Brandon Marshall, Jordan Cameron, etc. He is tied for 2nd. Some of those guys have played 6 games to Brown's 5.

Brown is 7th overall in yards, but 71st in yards per catch.

    Houston is 2-4
    Atlanta is 1-4
    Pitt is 1-4

Receptions does not equal success. A lot of teams that fall behind throw the ball more, the league is a more passing league than ever before. Sorry, I want results, not contract clauses met for "young money".

Tom Brady has NO receivers, has lost tons of skill WR's, no real RB, yet continues to win. Sorry, it's just my opinion, what AB is doing is nothing more than pedestrian in today's NFL. Cleveland has a nobody TE with 38 receptions for that matter.

So was Barry Sanders just pedestrian because he was rarely on a winning team. There is too much football left to play and who knows the Steelers could easily finish 11-5. Right now brown is on pace for like 120 grabs and like 1500 yards that's not pedestrian at all.

Agreed.. The drop had help and AB is the best we got along with Sanders ..I don't compare player's across the league i could careless what their stats are. We have other WR's in the stable why are they not getting more rep's (Markie is excused for a sore pinky)

Ben has found his new number one target in Brown. Now he has two in Brown and Miller. That can be a pretty deadly combo if the line can give Ben time. Add in Sanders, Moye and Wheaton and I like our core of WR's. Brown I think tied the most receptions in 3 games ever by a Steeler yesterday. Not exactly sure of the stat but he is having a great year and they definitely made the right call on Brown over Wallace.

easy with the getting excited over their wr group. thats what happened last year and we all know how that turned out.

i will be happy when Wheaton and Moye are used for more than just blocking or being a decoy.

as far as AB goes, i always thought he was much better than Wallace. i also think Sanders has the potential to be very good. the only thing that can hold him back is the fact that him and AB are pretty much the exact same type of wr. thats why i think its important that a guy like Moye gets a chance. hes a totally different type of wr.

We only have two receivers on the field, Brown and Heath.
Occasionally, Sanders shows up. But not often. As a result, Brown and Heath will have monster stats. This doesn't mean Brown is a stud #1. Put him on many other teams, he is a solid #2

I wish they could had kept Wallace and Brown. Their skill sets would had complimented each other well as they matured as WRs.

This doesn't make any sense, your number 1 usually does have the best stats. And Sanders isn't doing as bad as everyone thinks, so actually 3 WR's on the field.

I guess everyone is forgetting about our other receiver Cotchery...yeah he is old but we wouldn't have been in any early games w/o him
