With the injury to Brown and sounding like he will be done for the year what is the opinion on what we do going forward? Do we stick with what we have or do we sign a FA? Is the trade deadline end at week 6 or is it week 8 now?

I think if there was a better option out there they would have done that instead of Levi. Going to have to figure it out with what they have. I still believe in Adams, just not at LT.

Me, too. I think Beachum has potential and can correct his penalty issues. I would really like to give Adams a shot at RT.

The only option left is to bring back Starks who has played horrible this year

    Beachum is not the answer.
Even though I'd look first at other candidates, something tells me we're just about to bring Starks back.

Too bad we gave up a 5th rounder for Brown.

You have a link for that I was never able to find the actual compensation I just read it was a conditional pick.

Why do you say a 5th rounder?

Whatever the condition is, it shouldn't be much. I wonder if we can return him. When you get hurt in warmups, you had the injury before you came to the team. And that begs the question, who evaluated him before signing him?

There is just too much coincidence with these injuries. Our medical staff has to be among the worst in the league at this point. So our guys evaluated him before the trade was finalized and passed him and then he gets hurt in freaking warm ups? There had to be a pre-existing issue that our guys failed to see or he is lazy and our FO fails yet again. That or we just been struck by lightning like for the 5th time in a row.

Because I never heard a final word, on the trade details.
I knew if I posted 5th rounder, that someone who knows (if anyone knows) would post what the actual trade contained.

I heard it was a conditional pick and if he played less than x amount of games then Arizona might be on the hook for a pick to the Steelers. Basically it was a no risk option.

My hope is leave Beachum at LT and figure out if Adams or Gilbert is the RT going forward. Then find a way to draft Jake Matthews out of Texas A&M this April/May.

There would be coincidence if all the injuries were coming from the same thing. They're not. Many of them are entirely explainable - Pouncey, for example.

Just as a counterview, you could also look at the rehabbing of Miller, or even Spence, who recovered before they were expected.

As for getting hurt in warm ups - ok, it could be that Arizona knew something we didn't. On the other hand, I remember one guy who injured himself reaching for his tv remote at home, and had to miss a couple of games. Wasn't NFL, but still a highly paid sportsman, with no history of injuries. These things happen.

But they KEEP happening to the steelers! I was laughing at the notion at first, but now I do believe we need to bring an exorcist in.

    Exactly what I was thinking!!!!!

I know he would have probably had to pass a physical with us, but he was most likely hiding the injury as best he could or the Cardinals possibly were....

when you bring guy like whimper or levy brown without an arm , you don't need an exorcist you need a psychiatric

Yea IDK, maybe they were upset that he wouldn't let the play die after he fell, but I didn't really see holding.

leave beachum where he is. the kid has better feet then any of them right now and it showed all day. it was his first start at the money spot and ben had a much cleaner pocket to work from. look at the positives from it and not just the couple of negatives in having him there.

i'd bring joe long in from the PS and get cody Wallace a lot of practice time at C and G and move forward.
