Lots of positives moving forward, still left a lot out on the field but man that was good prideful moment. It's been awhile.

    NOW LETS ROLL THE RAVENS!!!

It was a good win for sure. Some positives to take away from this game, some things that still need to improve if we want any chance in beating the top teams in the league, or even just win consistently. But it's a start

I still want to start a "post game complaint thread", just for tradition's sake.

Maybe we activate Adams and see what he can do at RT because Gilbert is worthless.

Give it a rest bud, the o-line played better in Pass protection this week.

I can't imagine we'll see the same lineup next week.

The problem is who's playing and who's sitting? You think Gilbert sits in favor of Adams next week? Gilbert and Beachum both had penalties today.

If only giving up 4 sacks and numerous hits on our quarterback and rushing for 60 yards better than I agree. sarcasm.

I don't get your love for the Oline this week. I simply didn't see what you did. I thought they were as bad as ever, which is why we used an endless amount of screens and quick passes

Same here. Contrary to popular(?) belief, Beachum struggles at LT.

I think Beechum's mistakes are fixable and somewhat understandable. Limited game experience caused the false start coupled with hostile enviornment. The first sack he gave up looked like he over thought it. Thinks his man is going wide and takes an extra step so he isn't out of position and the guy ends up cutting back inside. I agree with Sims on the holding calls. The d-lineman falls down with a lineman on top and it is really tough to call.

Beachum seemed to settle down after the first quarter.

beachum is the less worst lt on the roster , i knew it from june that we didn't have a left guard and a left tackle , now they have to do whit what they have ,i would keep beachum at left try adams at right and brown at guard if he has still his tricep

The sad thing is - the O-line played better, and Ben still got hammered all day. It was not pretty up front.

They played their best game of the year and not just because they won. O-line looked better in pass protection, didn't give up any turnovers and got a couple and we got better pressure on the QB. Overall a positive step in the right direction.

It was a better pocket today for the most part. beachum had a couple of oh chit's but not bad for a first start at LT. he only got half the reps in practice this week also, because of levi.

this was against a very good front of the jets. the false start was because of the twitch start from the DE on the one play. that one i'll give him. most guys would have jumped.

the near sack in the EZ was a strange formation to have called. how do you leave a first start guy on that side by himself with no help at your goal line. bad coaching decision if you ask me. not even a RB on that side to help out.

I still think we should FTHI. his play calling is just as strange as his life outside of the team.

    FTHI

Not saying they are great, just saying I saw a little more stability in pass protection.

I agree thorn. tough calls. the DE twitched on the false start and caused that jump. the holding was pure bunk. he played pretty well with half a weeks practice. ben had more time and a cleaner pocket then in prior weeks for the most part and it helped the win , make no mistake about that. he should get a full week of practice and he has started against the rasins before. beachum can move his feet and is quicker, that's what helps him.

I am not a OL guru, I prefer skill players. But one thing you know about Beachum he is at least going full throttle, not hesitant,he is our best option at this time. He has a mean streak in him that I also like.

I thought the OL was better as well. Beachum needs a little work and I heard his number get called a number of times for holding - some were justified and some werent. It would have been nice to see what the new guy can do but he managed to get injured in warmups. At any rate, it was a small step in the right direction. I would not mind seeing Adams at RT though.

i agree. they opened no holes in the running game and Ben still had little time to pass. they had a bunch of holding penalties and just dont look like a group that plays well together.

I just don't see how this can be called a good game. It's win so that's good, but a good game? We gave up 4 sacks. If it wasn't for a miracle by Ben it would have been 5 + a safety. We averaged something like 2.6 yards per carry, committed 7 or 8 penalties. We were 0-2 in the redzone and something like 36-7% on 3rd down conversions. It's a win, but it's a far cry from a good game.

I tend to fall in the "Give Adams a shot at RT camp". I think at the moment he is clearly the better run blocker than Gilbert. Add to that information that Adams was pretty stinkin' good helping us run the ball from that spot last year. If we can start running the ball with some consistency, I truly believe our Pass Pro gets better by default.

    Agree..
Just rewind the last 4 meeting's and check out the heavy hitters our young L/T's had to deal with..as for Beechnut he did settle in as the day went on. He should to stay put for the Ravens game. Give the reps to Beech this week he may be our best selection against Suggs! (Stop the shuffle for now and stay with what worked)
