If we go 0-8, do we replace ben with landry or grankowski? or maybe 0-12? I definitely think if we are winless, a change at QB is mandatory.

Ben could definitely play better, but so could a lot of our players. If the basis of the change was to admit that we suck and just want to get Ben out to keep him from getting killed, then sure, put Jones in there and let him get mauled but starting NFL QB's are hard to come by and we only have one. I like Gradkowski as a backup but that is what he is and Jones should never have been drafted in first place.

i'm not saying replace ben permanently....maybe have him sit a game or two to get his head strainght and reload. I think a timeout might help him and his team.

A QB change is NOT mandatory when you have Landry and GraDkowski on the bench.

We will go with Ben for several more years. Now, that doesn't mean if Ben fumbles the ball again, Tomlin doesn't sit him down for one series to send a message. But I don't think Tomlin either would consider it or be strong enough to do it.

As long as Ben is the best QB on the roster (and he is), and as long as they are not mathematically eliminated, Ben must start. No question.

But if its Dec 10, and the Steelers are 3-10, I see no reason not to Give Landry some game experience in the last few games. Make it clear Ben is the #1 guy, but your taking advantage of an opportunity to see what you have in Jones and aid his development.

This is the problem you get into when you draft a QB reasonably high and your starter has several yrs left. To me drafting Jones was a mistake. He doesn't help you now, and you can't make time to develop him.

When I saw this post I ran for cover!!! I thought the members were going to torch you but I see there being gentle with you. When making comments like, "Lets put Ben on bench" or" lets get rid of him" or "Ben Sucks" or "if we go 0-8, 0-12 lets sitem down", people around here get the shakes and they get them BAD! Talking about Ben compares to talking about someones Momma or even punching their little girl in the face after tooth surgery. Gotta be careful with what you post about Ben.

I don't think he will be sat but if he keeps fumbling the ball and throwing picks. Makes him not the best QB on the roster. If we were 0-8 I would say sit Ben and make sure the press knew we were trying to keep him alive for next year and promise to get a good line at that time.

Incase you don't know making statements like that on the MB will get you shunned not to mention breaking the 8th deadliest sin. You are on holy ground.. Big Ben gets more protection here then his front five can ever give.. j/k. Seriously fix what stands before Ben and we will reap points and get back to Steeler football.

OK, so our OL sucks, what else is new. Why doesn't Tomlin do with Ben what Brady does so well, three step drops, play action fakes, quick slants and drop off to running backs ? It would be nice to have a receiver that doesn't fall down after he catches the ball 95% of the time. Our YAC ave. is pathetic. How many times do you remember seeing Welker catch a 5 yard slant and run for a thirty yard gain? We have nothing like that. BTW, was the reason NE got rid of Welker because he wanted too much money? Because he is tearing it up in Denver too.

Should we bench the whole Defense as well? They should be. A shell. Ben has his issues, but I put it on the Defense.

I say if it becomes apparent that it is a lost season and they have no hope of winning the division because that is what it will take to get into the playoffs with and 0-4 record to overcome than yes you do start to look at pulling Ben not because of his play or his doing anything wrong but so that he isn't injured going into the off-season. Same would go with some of the veterans at other positions as well. Evaluate the younger players see where you are at as a team and who you wanna bring back next season. There are going to be some tough decisions ahead if the season is lost it is best to get started on gathering info.
