You know, that makes me think: Perhaps that shoulder injury has caused some serious problems. Lack of arm strength? Lack of accuracy?

Exactly as Mort was saying,if we could get some nice picks for Ben we could rebuild the Team faster...I never saw that we had so many holes...

Plus look at Troy,Kiesel,Clark,Taylor and those guys how many years have they got left? We are in full rebuild mode the young guys are not good enough and the old ones are just getting older...We need young studs..

A change is needed in philosophy also. I think this team has stopped responding to Tomlin's cheerleader type of approach. Gotta shake things up there. I feel that a coach that instills discipline can still get the best of most of these guys and I do feel we have some young talent. With the RIGHT offseason moves made I think we could be in the mix again fairly quickly. The problem is the RIGHT moves haven't been made personnel wise since Tomlin has been here. So the first one is to get rid of him and then move Ben and give the new regime so ammo.

Haley is a disciplinarian, not working for him either.

One of the reason's I have been stewing since the opening of camp about Ben is that there were two separate articles released the weekend they reported that shed some light on the subject. I just happened to see them on the twitter feed on the front page and clicked on the first and when I went looking for it again I found the second talking about Ben and the offense and Haley. I think the first was a writer from the Trib. The jist of the articles was that during Ben's most productive spots during last season, when he was running the hurrry-up and calling alot of his own plays he completely abandoned Haley's terminology and called similar plays by the names BA had given them, not just hand signals as was reported during the season. Ben admitted that he didn't understand why they had to change the names and called them what he was used to and familiar with.

I honestly think Haley was brought in not for Ben but for everyone else. To put into place some structure that was lacking with BA.

My wife who watches almost zero football made the observation yesterday the Ben looked spooked during the fourth quarter. Now that is understandable given his OL but I think some of you have hit the nail on the head when they say something is off with him. I have never seen such horrible passes when you look at some of the short stuff. That bubble screen to Brown in the first half was just ugly and then he would thread the needle to Brown or Miller with coverage over and under.

Yes I am. His magic has been gone. By himself he gave the ball to the other team 7 times in the last two games

Agreed. Discipline comes from the head coach, not the coordinators. We have one of the best D Coordinators ever and our defense looks like crap. The head coach instills it and he has been nothing but a cheerleader since he took over. The old Cowher guys kept the discipline but now they are gone and his stain has taken over.

How do you guys feel QB's like Tannehill, Alex Smith, Luck, ect... would do with our 2005 and 2008 SB championship teams? I personally think they would have ended up the same. So if we could build the team back to that we could stand a chance with a decent QB.

Yep Tomlin because the team lolly gags to the line when we are trying for a quick score and Ben still takes the play clock almost all the way down. Any one this team know what hurry up means?

Come on Bobby in the last 16 games back to last year and pre season, Ben hasn't been able to find his own azz with both hands. Sheesh!

    No complaint on the spikes
Also not against the short BRADY passes like Ben was throwing the first part of last year

Uh, there was talk of Ben being in the running for league MVP during the first half of last year before he got hurt. Did you forget?

    Amazing.
"not playing well" for 8 games and you're ready to throw in the towel on one of the best players on the team for what? Andrew Luck doesn't come around ever draft. And for every Alex Smith and Ryan tannehill there are 5 Brandon Weedens, Tim Tebows, and Mark Sanchez's.
Why take a chance with an unknown commodity when you've got a damn good one already on the roster?
Like I said before I'm glad most of you aren't running the steelers. They'd be the laughingstock of the NFL.

LOL that you mention Tannehill. Did you see his 4 turnover performance last night? A sack fumble that led to 7 for the Saints and another int that led to 7.

    I don't know what's more frightening?

not seeing that without Roethlisberger, we're the Browns for the next decade
    or
the debate if they could get a 1 or 2 for him.

    Stunning

Yea trade Ben for a #1 and #2, especially since we have been so adept at drafting the last several years. /sarc

This was a point I made earlier in this thread. The same people wanting to trade Ben for 1st and 2nd round draft picks are the same ones complaining about our current players drafted in the same rounds.

I know what he would do. Get sacked. I counted how long he had the ball on one play .. 6 seconds and then a sack. Thats not good managment

And what would Brady do with 2.3 seconds (the avg time before Ben was hit vs Chicago)?

How many years do you think Ben has left?My money is on 2....

So if that rings true then why not at least shop him around to help the cap and the rebuild? As most have stated probably no takers, but it is prudent to shop him,IMO.
