you have to know by now that the refs call the game different when it comes to Ben. whens the last time a flag was thrown on a hit that Ben took? the guy is hit late, hit in the head, grabbed by the face mask, gets his nose busted and no flags. its just not gonna happen.

There isnt a single person on here who wants Ben to get hurt. Some, including myself, have criticized some of his turnovers lately so I guess that translates into being happy that he is injured.

I'm still taking Ben any day. It's going to be a tough year, and you put any other NFL QB behind that line, and its the same results! WR's can't run routes in 2.5 seconds, unless its a slant, and Ben has to have time to throw, which he doesn't it. FIX THE LINE, AND YOU FIX SOME OF THE PROBLEMS

If Brady had this line there would be national coverage every Monday morning of him ripping them on national TV.

It looked like he was first horse collared (not sure if that is legal around the LOS or what) and then the linebacker initiated/attacked his head first... Not that they deserved to get that close, but Ben gets unfair treatment.

The way he's been ending games with either an INT or fumble, this could be a good thing...unfortunately they'll keep putting him in until he needs an emergency operation

Great reply. I would have to agree that no one wants to see Ben hurt. I am a big Big Ben fan even though some here might not believe me. He absolutely still gives us the best chance to win,but our chances would increase tenfold if he would stop turning the ball over. I don't care how bad our OL is or how hard he is trying, turnovers are a killer in this league. I'll take a punt over a turnover any day of the week. We all realize how critical they are especially due to the fact our D couldn't create one if you gave them the flour and the eggs(maybe a apple or two as well).

This is is an team sport and we just aren't playing like one and haven't for a while. There is a mental disconnect to go along with the embarrassing blocking and tackling we have witnessed. Football is pretty simple usually the team who tackles and blocks the best wins the game. I realize like most of you that our coaches may be culpable as well but the bottom line is the men on the field just ain't getting it done. There's a fine line in this league between winning and losing when we were good we were playing just above it but now we are just below it. All the coaching in the world isn't going to turn this around until the players start doing what they're paid to do.

Honestly I would use this an excuse to basically shut him down right now. This team ain't going nowhere fast this year. I was thinking about it yesterday and my half brained idea was:
    - Shut him down to prevent further injury and just let him workout, stay in great shape, and whatever else he can do.
-Tank the year cause we are tanking it anyway without trying and use our inevitable top 5 pick on a franchise LT if there is one out there.
    - Oh and replace Haley right?

Well how ever anyone wants to spin it, but this sentence posted by Fearthebeard is very wrong for a fan to even say about a player. Perhaps sitting him to protect him from further injury would work. I guess I'm just out of touch.
