Seems everyone is talking about the Offense but what about this D. How can this defense be so bad? Ryan Clark is nonexistent. Ike plays too far off the defender. Timmons, Woodley, Jones, Wilson hasnt stop the run or hardly made it to the QB. We did cause a fumble yesterday but everyone is looking the wrong way for the ball. i dont know. its hard to watch, its frustrating to watch....

I think you meant Vince Williams, not Wilson. Williams is probably the biggest vulnerability in the run defense.

So many issues here its not even funny. In the words of Hall of famer Warren Sapp "We're old and Slow". Listen we held on to some players too long to make legitimate runs at a SB (keisel, Harrison, Clark, and others never developed (Carter, Wordlis, Sylvester, Hood). Instead of bringing in youth we opted for security (Foote & William Gay). Others like Spence showed promise but injuries took over. We have guys with terrible pass rush abilities in terms of our Defensive Ends and Linebackers or lack of speed to get to the QB on a blitz and we continue to not mix our coverage zone vs press in key situations especially with our personnel. A Steeler Defense can have average DB's if the pass rush is constant but not both.

On the bright side I do like Shamarko for Troy eventually, Jarvis will be fine he just needs more reps, timmons has been solid, the experience Vince Williams is getting is valuable, Spence might be back this year, EVEN Cortez Allen is learning on the Job but we're going to have to get better on the ends if we're going to keep Mcclendon in the middle cause he's no Casey Hampton (he does not consistently take on 2 blocks but those are hard shoes to fill). We also have to find a CB to eventually replace Ike cause we dont have a solid #2 right now (losing Keenan Lewis was huge as I thought it would be)

This is the first game these guys really stunk up the joint.

I would move McClendon to DE and insert Fangupo as the NT. He's a bigger body and that's what you need in a 3-4.

I think Cortez Allen will be ok just i believe it was rust from not playing.

Vince Williams is not very good. It will be a steep learning curve for him.

Maybe we should of kept James Harrison to play inside linebacker.

Clark has lost a step and should be replaced before the end of the year.
