considering this was the first professional game, Bell looked very good. I'm really excited about this guy.

I agree, I particularly liked that carry with just under six minutes left. He ran left and instead of going out of bounds, he decided to run over the defender.

He's a stud too bad the O-line can't do a better job of opening holes for him.

I liked the carry where he kinda slowed down to follow his blocker, and then turned on the jets. Other backs we have had would have run into the blockers back, and then be tackled for a loss. And I don't think I saw a spin move. Hooray!!

Bell was certainly a high point for the team's performance. It may have been me, but they did seem to still be subbing him in and out a fair bit - easing him back in, or is Haley holding on to the rotation idea to the bitter end?

Relax. They said going in he'd be on a pitch count. He'll get more work as the season goes on.

I would have loved to have seen him play. I was at an anniversary dinner for my parents during the game, planned on watching the game I DVR'd, then deleted it once I got home. I couldnt bear to watch it.

Your parents must really love you. You see, they planned that party during the game to spare you the pain of watching another embarrassing and amateur performance. What great parents you must have. I wish they would have invited me too! LOL.

To be honest, my sister and I planned the party. It was for my parent's 50th anniversary and, for the first time in a long time, I didnt care at all that I was missing the game. I had the misfortune of listening to the last drive on the way home.....

Oh. Well that's a great anniversary. We could use some of their perseverance and dedication on our team. Can they play left tackle or cornerback by any chance??? LOL.

He did use a spin move. It was when he got hit 3 yards in the backfield almost immediately after receiving the handoff. He spun out of it easily and picked up a few yards (as opposed to spinning and dropping as we've seen. ;))

Bell was definitely the highlight of the Steeler's side of the ball. I'm cautiously optimistic about what he can bring to the run game considering that there really hasn't been a running game for quite some time.

Too early to tell. Tim Worley had 770 yards rushing and five touchdowns on 195 carries his rookie season then faded.
