Why is it when a RB fumbles he gets benched, but Ben turns it over several times and nothing happens? I really don't want to see Ben benched as I think he gives us the best chance to win, but it does seem to be a double standard.
    Am I missing something here?

I said it in years past that he doesn't fear the hook. He knows he is the best they have and they aren't going to pull him so he can mess up and then go out and dig himself out of the hole. Look at tonight huge numbers night for him and he made some awesome throws and looked good at times and bad at others. Had he led them to a comeback win we wouldn't be talking about the turnovers, well some of us maybe but we would be fighting against the tide.

There isn't much he can do when there is a guy coming at his blindside all day because Adams can't block...at all. He shouldn't have thrown the pick of course, but it wouldn't have been a pick had a. he had time to throw (defense was closing in) or b. Cotchery was more aware.

I'm afraid he's turning into another Brett Favre way too careless with the ball, always trying to make something happen ints are going to happen, but you can't be fumbling the ball also.

Not making any excuses, could he have broken his hand early on?

Hard to get respect from the players if one guy is untouchable and the others are held accountable?

Adams gets owned constantly and compensates by diving in ala Kemo at the end of plays. He's a wasted pick.

I'm so glad to hear reality is sinking in. We are a horrible football team that should be embarrassed to wear the uniform.

Don't lump me into that group. I still believe. Until we have 8 losses anything is possible for the season.

See Im just buying into this one today. I know our OL is not GREAT by any stretch of the imagination but, Ben's turnovers were not their fault. He has to learn to protect the ball better. He didnt and he fumbled it twice. The int's were bad throws. Cotchery wasnt ever looking when Ben threw it. If its not there, throw it away. On a positive note, what happened last night will make Ben angry and he will address it. I think he plays alot better in London.

what would you like him to do? he is under pressure before he even completes his drop back. we are so used to seeing Ben make spectacular plays, but thats because his oline has pretty much sucked from the day he got to Pittsburgh. well atleast the last 5 years or so its sucked. if Ben isnt great than the offense struggles. he has no time. why is this so hard for people around here to see.

im not picking on you, but there are a lot of Monday morning qbs on this board that think they have the answers. so why is that so many people around here cant see that Ben has no time in the pocket and almost every play turns into a sandlot type of play?

you ask why Ben isnt held accountable. i ask why is this oline not held accountable. i would rather see the FO go out and sign 5 different guys this week and see what they can do. Adams and DeCastro are starting to look like busts. the best olineman they have right now is the guy they just signed off the street a couple weeks ago to replace the guy that was supposed to be their best olineman.

Ben is a great qb, but he has no real chance behind this line. it might be easier to replace Ben at this point than to fix the oline.

shouldnt Cotch have been looking? on a blitz the wr are supposed to cut their routes. Ben threw to Cotch because he was probably his hot read and Cotch wast ready.

I don't know how many $110MM franchise RBs get benched for fumbling when there is no top-tier backup.

Tebow is still available. It almost seems like it is fate for him to start with the Steelers.

My mailman who is a big Patriots fan gave me this knock knock joke.

    Knock knock

    Who's there?

    Owen!

    Owen who?

    Owen three.

Would you rather have Ben, Gradtowski or Jones playing QB? Thought so!
